It's the same defense, but this time the pressures were getting home. There's a huge difference in the appearance of the scheme when it works as opposed to when it doesn't work.

But our guys sure backed it up today! Our special teams didn't give up any big returns. Our D didn't give up any big plays, and kept Romo on his heels all day. Our O sputtered, but kept trying, and finally got some scores.
If we keep up this kind of play, i think we have a realistic shot at the wild card.
I was skeptical whether they could improve that much since the lousy play last week. But they showed that it wasn't just "talk", they meant it.
It makes it a good week!
(Plus i hate the cowboys, makes it extra special!!!)

I'm not sure there was much talk pre-game, so title doesn't really fit here... but other than that, I agree 100%

Fin....you must not have seen the story. Players behind closed doors this past week were talking that they needed to get their you-know-what together, and start playing better. They challenged each other to step up their game.
Thus, the "Talk is cheaP" thread name. Alot of people (including me) questioned if it was all just talk. Guess they were not just talking!

Yes.. and one of the big reasons it got home.. well two actually..

The Packers used their speed against the slow footed mammoth offensive line of the Cowboys.. it was a mismatch.

Second.. even when the Packer blitzers were blocked or knocked to the ground.. they kept fighting like mad dogs to get to Romo.. it was a tremendous effort for 4 quarters.

Yet another reason why I was hoping the ZBS works. A gigantic OL isn't the answer to everything. It can be beaten by speed, as we showed yesterday.

Capers threw everything he had and Romo was off because of it. Even when Romo wasn't sacked, we still got into his head. Those 7 points they scored were garbage time points.

Of course everyone challenges each other to play better after a loss... especially to the Bucs.

Well....that may be true. But they made the story PUBLIC. So it was much more then the "normal" chatter. They actually had a meeting and several guys talked to the team.
They KNEW that the season was on the line.
So i'm impressed that it seemed to work. At least they played lights out all game. They kept playing hard every play.
Hopefully that's the way they will play the rest of the season. Put it ALL out there each game.
Who knows what we could do?
It just made me alot more positive about the possibilities.
