For this article to already be in Google, BleacherReport.com must be a much more prominent website than I realized. Google gives priority to news-oriented sites when it spiders the web, but I always considered BR to be mostly a fan-run site.

Me too.....but a junk TD doesn't bother me. We didn't give up ANY big plays. Not on D, or special teams.
I'm proud of how they gave it 110% today!
If they can keep that attitude, we have a realistic shot at the wild card.

Well, before the season I predicted we'd shut out 2 opponents. You have any idea how stoked I'd be if 1) it came true, and 2) the 2nd shutout was against the Cows?

I posted this in another thread:

I can't believe it. I just can't Believe it!
I am going to take my son to the game today. Last night he calls and we change where I am going to meet him. Instead of the Metra train station in the western (Chicago) suburbs, we decide to meet in Milwaukee. He is going to take Amtrak from Chicago to Milwaukee.
I am on I-43 about 40 minutes out of Milwaukee when I get a call from my son. Seems that Amtrak lost his online reservation. By the time he messed around trying to get the ticket and then talked to someone from Amtrak, the train pulled out of the station. I told him to check on a Metra station in on of the northern 'Burbs. He called back told me there was one that would work. I got off the Expressway and headed for the station. He then called back and told me that he didn't have enough money in his pocket. (Sigh.) I told him that we would just spend the day together instead of going to the game.

I had just driven through Delavan. I turned around and went back into town. Pulled up at a gas station. I walked up to a young man and asked him if he had plans that afternoon. He said he did but what did I have in mind. I asked him if he wanted to see the Packer game. He was just stunned. He was trying to remember the phone number for one of his friends. After a few minutes of talking I told him to take the tickets and see if he could line someone up. He agreed. He was suppose to lay some brick today. I told him to call in sick. He said that he would except that he was doing the work at his Dad. As I got into my car I told him to take his Dad.

Good game. We're still barely alive...wish the Vikes would lose a game or two. Slim chance for the playoffs, but anytime we bear the Cowgirls it's a good day.

McCarthy and his play calling/coaching decisions is scary. Using a challenge on a play that was clearly (even without replay) not a TD is pretty bad! He gets his info from others in the booth...time for McCarthy to start cleaning out his coaching staff or it will be his head. He looks like a fool.

We have had issues with pass rush and not stopping teams at crucial points of a game..

But one thing that MIGHT be overlooked is the front 3 tends to be great at stopping the run...

Not only that but with how Jenkins bitched about the scheme he sure is playing lights out..Who saw the ball where you recognized the semi screen pass to Barber, dropped back right as ball was being thrown and hunted him down??

He and Jolly had MONSTER games

I pointed out that play live to my daughter. She looked at me like I was a retard. I was saying 'look at the awareness right there! he knows from that half ass chip it's a screen!' then they showed the replay and she was like "daddy ur smart!". Kids ... lol

The one play in which Jolly was waving his arms in a confused sort of desperation and actually had his head turned away from the line of scrimmage when the ball was snapped made me laugh. Despite the fact that he was caught completely flat footed, the Cowboys only netted a few yards on the play.

What I find interesting is McCarthy and Rodgers both said after the game that Rodgers had more responsibility at the line of scrimmage than he has had in other games and we ran a totally different offense.

But we didn't. We had entire series in which Rodgers was in the shotgun on every single play. We didn't start playing the short-yardage game until the second half.

I didn't see a series we went shotgun every time.

And you can have short passing game with shotgun formation.

I don't think Rodgers threw a pass in the air longer than 20 yards.

That's a short passing game.

Edit, they went shotgun for the whole series when they got the ball back with :43 seconds on the clock to end the half. You seriously going to use that as your example? lol
