I've always been a Barnett fan and think he's underappreciated by Packers fans. He's solid, and has always been. The thing is right now, the Niners have a better MLB so he'll be overlooked when it comes to Pro Bowl time, but he's still a solid player.

There were people who said Barnett was not suited for this scheme. Heck, if I'm not mistaken the suggestions were made to trade him?!

He has proven otherwise.

Yeah he has. I've always seen Barnett as a football player. Kind of like Woody (although not a Hall of Fame nominee, but I'm talking when it comes to heart and knowing what's up on the field).

And we're beating the Cows 10-0. :thumbright:

Probably not as much as Mike McCarthy wants (needs) to win this one.

The challenge on Nelson's reception just short of the goal line was that of someone desperately wanting his team to get a score.

That's now 2 Forced Fumbles and one sack for future Hall of Famer Charles Woodson.

That was just stupid on MM's part. 1st and Goal at the 1 yard line. We were going to score a TD anyways.

My complaint, which still stands, is Barnett is not physical in the box, when people run at him he is a negative more than a positive, even today. He excels in range.. he can cover sideline to sideline..

Now, today he is showing some effectiveness in the blitz... but is that really consistent.. one cannot say that at this point.

If he consistently plays at this level.. but not my type of bloody nose type thumper in the run game.. which is what I think we lack.

Today.. I give the Cowboys a big black mark for the playcalling.. they were able to run early on us early with some success and haven't really lined up and tried to stuff it down our throats... maybe the Columbo injury is partially to blame.

Either way.. one has to give our defense their props for this effort.. and out offense has struggled against a solid defense.. but have done enough with balance to flip the field position in the game and given us enough to hang our hats on.

Now.. in limbo with the replay.. good game by the Pack today.

Zombieslayer's prediction of two shutouts this season is looking pretty damn prescient right about now.

That's a lot of pre words for one sentence.
