What the fuck is the problem with a trade between a team in contention and one not in contention? I don't follow that logic any more than I follow those dumb no-trade lists.

Yes, you can veto trades as well, but who will decide what an unfair trade is? Formo traded Andre Johnson away for Larry Johnson in the beginning of the season. I surely would've veto'd that, if I could, later on. In Formo's opinion, though, it was just a good trade for a RB-desperate team.
Why on earth would a team that's out of contention trade or release its entire roster, besides helping someone else to victory?
