I really don't think Ted Thompson is the problem. MM can't motivate his guys to move their play up, and stop making penalties. MM needs to be shown the door, along with the special teams coach and O-line coach.
There's alot of talent on the team, but no one seems to know what they are doing. Ted Thompson can pick the guys, but they have to be able to play well together. And thats not happening right now.

TO HELL WITH TED THOMPSON!!!!!! Ultimately he is the one responsible for this whole mess!!!

He Hired MM, who hired his guys to coach, or kept the ones he wanted to.

Ted Thompson has had 5 years to bring in THE PLAYERS HE WANTED!!!!

It's real simple, either TT's players aren't good enough or MM can't coach them?

Either way, it doesn't matter..IT IS TIME FOR THEM BOTH TO GO!!!!

I backed off my rants after last week after seeing who we lost to and how close the games were, but Sunday pretty much showed what this team is, MEDIOCRE AT BEST!!!!!

While thery are at it, they might as well get rid of that red-headed clown who thinks he knows what he is doing.(Teddy's Boss)

CLEAN HOUSE, IMHO there is plenty of talent on this team, get someone in here who can develope that talent, use the next 8 weeks to build for 2010!!!!

Can we please stop putting any blame on rodgers? We put up 28 points!!!!
Maybe if we did not give teams great field position, teams like Tampa would not put up 38 points....

True. Most of the problem was with special teams. You give the other team the ball on inside your own 20, you arn't going to win very often. Plus a D that once again, when their backs are against the wall, they can't deliver.

The throw to Jennings that was intercepted was on Jennings in my opinion. Yes, there were 3 defenders there, but the ball went right through his hands. He catches it, it's a TD for us or at least inside their 5. Instead, it's intercepted. AR put the ball right where it had to be, and GJ blew it.
I hate to even say this, but he hasn't impressed me this year.
What has happened to him? Is he hurt, and not telling anyone? I just don't know.

I agree. I think it's mostly on mm. Yes, Ted has made some mistakes, all GM's do. I think his good outweighs his bad. mm I jus have had it with him.

Not to be argumentative, but if there's plenty of talent why would they can the guy who got that talent? I know he hired McCarthy, who's not getting it done, but that happens to even the best front office guys.

Full disclosure: I wouldn't be upset if Thompson did get replaced, as long as it was with someone who's proven they can do better, but firing him just because his first head coach hire didn't pan out seems a bit extreme to me.

Firing McCarthy: you betcha. Firing Thompson: maybe, but only if the new GM is demonstrably better. Change for change's sake in that position doesn't make sense.

Who would be available that fits that bill? I'm asking, because I don't know of anyone.

I 100 percent agree that Thompson gave us talent. Look at what hes done. We have Jennings, Jones, Nelson, Driver was resigned, He signed woodson, resigned Harriss, We have Great D-line players, Our linebackers are beast, He signed Bigby, Grant, and FInely was a great pick. Its obvious our players have talent, and thompson found many gems in the draft. Its frikin Mike Mccarthy and the rest of his staff. Woodson even Criticized our d scheme!

Vent... I have a laundry list of things I would love to vent about.. but I will just put down one.

MM and his circle jerk of a weekly presser of word and little action to correct the repetitive issues has zapped my excitement for this seasons team... I wanna believe he can right the ship, but I have zero confidence in his ability to do so.

Again.. I think he is a smart man.. but can't seem to objectively look at the shortcomings of this team and make the proper adjustment... IE.. Campen is a first time position coach and is failing... yet can't see it or to loyal to make the necessary change to remedy the shortcomings.

Oh and Raji not being in camp on time hasn't hurt his performance? BullllllllllllllShiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitttttttttttttttt!

I can take the losses, the horrible line play, terrible punting, terrible coverage teams, quarterback getting beaten like red heade step child; but seeing you wearing a Viking helmut with braids holding Bill Bellichek wearing a dress is the last fricken straw for me. Exactly what were you thinking taking that bet? And how long do we all have to suffer with this?

dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
