Rodgers Feuding with Packer Management over losses to Favre.GREEN BAY, WIRumors from Packer land have it that Aaron Rodgers is displeased with the state of the franchise and its direction under the management of GM Ted Thompson and coach Mike McCarthy. Rodgers, who has been quiet thus far, voiced his displeasure Monday after the second loss to the Vikings this season. Said Rodgers, Its just not fair. Favre comes in here and kicks our butts. Im under so much pressure to carry the franchise and it just seems like other teams and other quarterbacks have a supporting cast that makes things easier for them. Its been no secret that the Packers love to pocket their cap space, sending kickbacks to upper management in lieu of fielding a team capable of contending against the upper echelon teams in the league. I need help damn it. Im not Vikings QB. I need 3 pro bowl receivers and RBs to be successful. When will Moss be a free agent again?
Im running for my life out there. Sure, I hold on to the ball too long and dont throw the ball away when I should but damn it, thats how you play the game these days. Coach McCarthy has previously instructed Aaron to hold on to the ball rather than taking risks so that even if we dont win, at least well have some good stats. Thompson and McCarthy have recently been in discussions with teams around the league in regards to a blockbuster trade with the intentions of bolstering their offensive line. Sources have said that the Packers intend to trade their 3rd round pick to the Raiders for their 4th & 5th round picks. They intend to trade those two picks over and over to various teams throughout the league in an attempt to have at least 10 picks in round 7 of the 2010 draft. They intend to use a few of those picks to get the O-line help they certainly need. Said Thompson, we see some projects and big potential guys who will be available in the later rounds and we intend to explore those options. When asked if he intended to explore any free agent scenarios Thompson replied, we certainly arent going to break the bank but if we see a player with potential to make an impact, we will possibly consider presenting him a lowball offer.
We met up with McCarthy who was having a few burgers and shakes at McDonalds to ask him about the future of the team and his outlook on the rest of the season. He spoke to us of the good old days back when the Packers would feed the team and coaches for free as much as they could eat. These days, Ive gotta fend for myself so I moved closer to McDonalds. Tightwad Ted, McCarthy said, he got rid of all the free food to save cap space as he put it. I didn't even realize food was taken out of the cap but hey, I aint no brain surgeon, I just go with the flow. We just might start having our team meetings here to kill two birds with one stone. He gave us a that classic dumbfounded look while wiping the drops of sweat off his face with a napkin when we told him he neglected to answer our question.
See, haha. That was funny, right guys? Just a joke. All in good fun.
