I am still trying to figure out McCarthy logic on the 2pt conversion.

It is late in the 3rd Qtr. We score to bring us to 5 points back. McCarthy sends out the kicking team and we get the extra point for a score of 20-24.

Favre comes back and scores taking the lead back to 11.

Rodgers and company drive the field in about 3 minutes for another score. This time we go for 2.

What is the difference? From what I can see about 6 minutes off the clock.

Well, you're weighing options based on how much time is left and how the rest of the game seems to be shaping up. When it was 20-24, if we scored another TD we would've had a 3 point lead. Miss the 2 point conversion and that lead would be only 2, so the Vikings could regain the lead with a field goal. The second time around, he probably figured it was more likely that we would be playing from behind, so it was more important to close the deficit to 3 so that we could theoretically tie it with a field goal.

To me it seemed funny with how close the scores actually were. about 6 minutes, that in many cases is 2 3 and outs. I would have liked to see them go the first time. I would rather be in position to only need a FG in the 4th which is where we were basically at.

But still, with the way the game was going, I'd go for that 2 point conversion the first time.

We where on a roll at that point, we didn't know how long it would last untill the Vikings defense would adjust, but at that point, they couldn't stop a thing.

I would've gone for 2 the first time.

Maybe they saw something in the defense between the first and the second time. Did the Queens have any injuries during that time?
