I thought it was Bishop. When I watched it, it looked like Bishop's hit dislodged it.

2-M.Crosby kicks 36 yards from GB 30 to MIN 34. 96-B.Robison to MIN 42 for 8 yards (50-A.Hawk). FUMBLES (50-A.Hawk), RECOVERED by GB-36-N.Collins at MIN 41. 36-N.Collins to MIN 41 for no gain (33-J.Sanford).

I am pretty sure that he caused the fumble on that short kick off..

I forget when he got in there, but it seems like once he was in, that is when our defense seemed to be doing better

No, it was Bishop. I have NFL Gamepass and I just watched it. They showed it up close and slow motion. Bishop hit the guy first and chopped at the ball. Nothing AJ Hawk did on that play would cause a fumble.

You wonder why?

Check out the screen pass to Adrian Peterson in the 4th Q. of yesterday's game that went for big yardage.

One guess as to who didn't do his job properly on that play.

I'll gladly take Hawk as a Nickel LB than Bishop. Bishop will have a few more opportunities with Chillar being out, but I pray he is confined to the base D.

Bishop's specialty is against the run, yet he was playing in place of Chillar, whose specialty is pass coverage. Chillar broke his hand, so Bishop stepped in. Bishop is not normally going to be called on to cover pass routes.

Bishop forced that fumble from Robison and had good coverage on Shiancoe when he was out there.

That's true and last year, he stopped Apete on 4th and 1 AND forced a fumble. Dude hits like a truck.

Bishop stripped it, Collins fell on it. There was a clear replay during the game.
I think if you get Bishop some time on the field, he will get into the flow of things and he won't give up these blown coverages as much. It's like Arodge, he was good but it was time, and he needed to get some playing time in order to develop. You don't get better standing on the sideline.

He took the correct angle on that play as I remember it, face it, Bishop isn't going to win a foot race with AP.. none of our backers are.

I don't recall that. I just remember Peterson having broken away and sprinting down the sidelines, and Hawk chasing him down for the tackle.

So Bishop causes a fumble on special teams and that means he can make plays in coverage?
