Forget about the Favre thing, the horrible OL, etc.

The thing that still gets about Ted Thompson is the whole Randy Moss thing. That was a horrible judge of talent. But I guess thats why their BB and the Pats.

I don't understand what you mean. Who told him that? And BB didn't tell him he would be held accountable? I'm confused. I've never heard that the Randy Moss deal was not possible to begin with. If its true that Randy Moss did not want to play in GB, then I stand corrected but I had never heard that Randy Moss didn't want to come here.

This blog sums up my feelings about the Moss thing:

"Randy Moss eventually went to the New England Patriots for a fourth round pick. What made this so baffling? Ted Thompson selected wideout James Jones in the third round, a long-term project at wide receiver. Do you go with a long-term project in round three or arguably the best receiver in the NFL in the fourth round? If you go with the long-term project, then why keep Brett Favre around with such a commitment to rebuilding?"

I've read several articles in which Randy Moss is quoted as scoffing the Packers' management for telling him that he would be expected to behave well in Green Bay. He seemed to find it insulting, beneath him. Apparently the Patriots didn't demean him in such a fashion (plus they offered a higher pick at the last minute for him), so he went there instead. Of course, Moss was at the time considered a terrible team player, so I don't know why he found it so shocking that a team would expect him to resolve his behavioral issues.
