It's no surprise that sacks can have a significant negative impact on offensive drives. Not only do you lose yardage but you also lose downs. It is therefore imperative that the offensive line does all that it can to protect its quarterback. Sacks don't tell the whole story, but here's some stats anyway:

Rodgers has won 4 out of 5 games after taking 0 sacks

He's won 1 out of 1 game after taking 1 sack

He's won 2 out of 6 games after taking 2 sacks

He's won 0 out of 2 games after taking 3 sacks

He's won 3 out of 8 games after taking 4 or more sacks

If Rodgers doesn't take a sack against the Vikings, his chances of winning are significantly better.

I'll agree with that.

Lang being in improves things a lot. It decreases overcompensating by others. It lets them handle their own business which will be difficult as it is.

It's not a bad line, just 1-2 bad players really making things awful.

We're getting there as you've seen the last two weeks. Vikings will be a nice test.

With THAT said, if Lang DOES struggle, which is more than possible, lets not freak out. It's one game (and against a pro bowl DE at that). Lang will have growing pains, lets remember that, and at the same time hope he has NONE tomorrow. GO PACK GO!

Expect to see more TE lining up tight instead of split to force Allen to take a wider path to Rodgers. In the process, giving Lang extra time to setup up. This formation also allows the TE to chip block and still make a route. This was we did against Cleveland, and is sound strategy. Allows for close to max protect, and still getting the TE into the pass patterns.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Trom, people will freak out Trom.

They'll come to Packers Home for reasons they can't even fathom. They'll log on, not knowing for sure why they're doing it. They'll post Lang is a loser, longing for the past. Of course.

"We won't mind if you look around", Zero will say. It's only $20 per person. They'll pass over the money without even thinking about it: for it is money they have and peace they lack.

And they'll post again and again from their computers. They'll find they have reserved seats somewhere between being a Packer Fan and being a Viking fan because of Brett.... The memories will be so thick they'll have to brush them away from their faces.

People will Freak out Trom... The one constant through all the years, Trom, has been the na sayers, and the non believers about change....

America has rolled by like an army of steamrollers. It has been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt and erased again. But the Packers marked the time. This field, this game: it's a part of our past, Trom. It reminds of us of all that once was good and it could be again. Oh... people will freak out Trom . People will most definitely freak out..

Remember Ross Verba? When he first went out there, you could see he could play. Clifton was the same way. They stuck him out there as a rookie, and he played for almost ten years.
Sometimes when you stick a guy out there, you just know he can play. That's how Lang looks to me.
