why arent we? out of the three we have, hes the only one to give respect to... barbre is the biggest joke an o-line has ever seen, and breno is just a fruit with pads and some pillows to look big, so why doesnt Ted Thompson stop drinking stupid sauce and drink some awesome sauce and get this line in shape!

Well first, Ted does not make the game day player decisions, Ted has Tauscher on the team so he did his part in this debate.

I am not sure where Mark's knee is at. He is just at the 10 month point from his surgery. Is his knee 100%, I doubt it, more than likely about 85-90% which is pretty good, but not sure I want a 90% Tauscher starting right now. In a couple weeks maybe. Barbre has been decent, and has made progress. I am satisfied with Tauscher being around to back him up at this point.

I am glad mccarthy's not starting tauscher. starting a guy withe repaired ACL only two weeks after coming to the team just wreaks of desperation. And I don't know if you've been watching, but ever since week 4, Barbre's been playing above average. Not a pro bowler to be sure, but he's been solid enough. and if we hope for him to be good some day, he has to start getting good now. And getting good comes from playing, so...

For the first time this year Rodgers wasn't sacked against the browns. On that note leave it how it is.

1) Barbre isn't a joke. He's not great ether.
2) Ted Thompson leaves the coaching to Mike McCarthy 3) Tausher couldn't be really yet... I highly doubt he's knee is 100% and he couldn't be in football shape... and I doubt he is yet... but he's probably been around he could do alright out of football shape... but that AND the knee not being 100% ... it's questionable.

Why? Because Barbre is improving week after week. He may not be elite, but let's remember he won't be facing Jared Allen. The left side I'm a little worried about. Barbre will be locked in a battle with someone on his level. If he can come out on top, our line can concentrate on shifting to Allen's side in trying to neutralize him. I'm hoping Lang starts the game so Mike McCarthy doesn't give Clifton many 1 on 1 opportunities because Allen will continue to tear offensive linemen new ones as long as he has only one guy to beat. If Lang's there, you can bet McCarthy will be paying more attention and getting guys to chip him all game.

Tauscher isn't going to help much because Barbre has been doing okay since week one. Not great, but he is improving.

Barbre's playing well. Tauscher hasn't played football in almost a year.

IMO, Barbre played well last week.. but still made a couple of errors up until last week.. especially prior to the snap and picking up stunts and blitzes.. on top of that, he was still making technique errors in the Lions game.

I think he should start, but if he falters in probably the most important game of the season this side of a playoff game, the rope should be rather short if Mark is cleared to play.

Being cleared to play, it is apparent they feel the knee is ready and he has knocked enough rust off.

I think Lang should have more rope on the left side, but same scenario if Clifton is cleared to play.

alot of ppl giving credit to Barbre and the o line as a whole for their preformance last week. remember it was the browns we played, who btw were already pathetic before the flu hit them. but as far as who should start...ill take 5 linemen with the most chemistry

I agree about the Browns part... and both DE in the Lions game got sacks...

If Tausher is 100% his normal self, I say start him.... but the chances of being 100% coming off the knee injury and no playing so long are slim....

And Sitton and Barbre have gotten to play next to each other and learn.

I want Lang to start out because he's more attack which is what I think Allen has more trouble with than Clifton's style of react....

I wish Spitz was healthy because Wells doesn't move defenders much...
