I feel like Allen can say what he wants, so why can't Larry Johnson? They're both basically saying the same thing. Johnson was mad when he said it, Allen was joking. but they were implying the same thing.

Larry Johnson called a reporter a faggot to be intentionally insulting. That is nowhere near as bad as what Allen said. It's not even close. Allen was being funny and LJ was being derogatory. Huge diffirence.

edit: Also Johnson didn't just get in trouble about that he also is in trouble over all the crap he has been saying about the team and coach. As far as I know the only punishment he has gotten was from the team and not the league.

saying "i'm not gay so licking my chops over a dude would scare me" is a humorous little quip, not a homophobic slur meant as an insult.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

hey, i'm a pretty liberal fucker living in Chapel Hill, the San Fran of the southeast...and i thought that comment was pretty damn funny.

Oh c'mon dude, Chapel Hill isn't the San Fran of the South. That's totally Asheville, N.C. It's even been stated in a few publications and such! Not that that means anything, but that's been the joke that's went around for a few years. Asheville is by far one of the more "gay friendly" towns in the South East.

Either way, I'm moving up to Raleigh in late Dec. / early Jan! I'm mildly excited.

I still say run it right at Jared Allen.

"Zero2Cool" wrote:

I'm sorry, Ryan Grant does NOT run right into anybody. That's simply not his style.

You didn't read my article did you? lol

And Grant always runs into people, it's one of the biggest gripes against his play. He doesn't make people miss.

"dfosterf" wrote:

Hey, stop blaming Grant. Everytime he tries to build up speed the pure suckage of our O line pulls him back towards the line of scrimmage. The only way he can prevent that pull from snapping his head back and suffering from whiplash is to run with his head down.
