Jeez folks, why do we want to encourage people to do something that is low and crass? Are we really STILL that bitter over him leaving and playing for a rival?

I thought this country fought a war 150 years ago over freedom of choice for all. Favre was and always will be known as a Packer. How we Packer fans acknowledge him goes a long way in how other people think of Favre and of us as fans.

I was and still am a fan of Favre, though I admit I dislike his antics but, I am a Packer fan first and foremost and last time I checked, it really doesn't matter whether he plays for the Jets or the Vikings or anyone else!

He is no longer a Packer and that is by his choice and doing... He plays in the NFL. Which is made up of 30 some teams. We as fans don't own rights to command where he can go play, or to discard him when we are good and finished with him. Packer fans booing him isn't going to make a bit of difference. It will just make us look bad as fans.

32 teams.

Booing is now considered low class? distasteful? Even Vikings QB said he expects to be booed because of his uniform. He's okay with it, why aren't you? As Michael Jordan used to say, "If im being booed, it puts a smile on my face because i know then im doing something good".

I won't boo, because the Vikings aren't worth the effort.

I agre with you on the won't boo and that is not what I am saying to not do. Insighting other people and encouraging them to boo I think is distasteful.

I think also that Favre concocted the whole retirement/jets/retirement so that he can be a Viking thing so I don't think too highly of him but enciting a mass booing is not in good taste.

On Wednesday, Longwell said his friend is in a good place and thinks the importance of the game from a standings standpoint will help take the edge of Favres personal storyline. Asked whether he thinks Favre will be booed, Longwell said, I think he will. I think he should, when the game starts, because were the opposing team. If theyre cheering, I think their fans are misplaced.

He is on a rival team now. Why wouldn't you boo him?

I never said not to boo if you wish but enciting a mass booing because of personal agenda because he was brett Favre and Packer fan property, etc, etc, in MY opinion is misplaced booing and low class.

Would we encite a mass booing for Tarvaris Jackson? I don't think so.

Forgiving? I don't know, I thought it was God's perrogative to forgive. NOT mine. I won't even touch that. Favre is a Viking now. I, like you, are dealing with that. Do I like it? no. Am I glad he is still playing football? no.

How ever, I like it even less that we have a lynch mob attitude toward him when we should be enjoying the game!

If youre headed to Sundays Packers-Vikings game intent on booing or cheering for Brett Favre during pregame introductions, youre going to be disappointed. Youll have to express your feelings for the ex-Packers and current Vikings quarterback some other way.

According Packers public relations director Jeff Blumb, visiting teams get to decide whether or not they want to be introduced individually or as a team in pregame introductions on the road.

According to Vikings public relations director Bob Hagan, Vikings coach Brad Childress would have the final say for the Vikings. Hagan said that so far this season, the Vikings have chosen to be introduced as a full team all year.

I talked to Vikings kicker Ryan Longwell Wednesday afternoon, and he said the Vikings have been eschewing individual introductions at home, too.

We really feel we want to be a team, so were introduced as a team, Longwell said. Might they change it up on Favres account, just to make things interesting Sunday? Were certainly not going to draw any extra attention to any of our guys, much less the main guy, Longwell said with a chuckle.

hope that clears up the introduction thing

I think it is funny Henderson says he will boo. I have always considered William one of the classiest men to play the game.
I won't boo b/c I won't be there and it won't matter.
I wish the fans would ignore him and do nothing. That would rattle him more than booing would. If the whole stadium booed him that would be like taking a hit from Warren Sapp. Brett would just jump up and laugh about it. It would make him want to play better.
