I was very surprised last week that the coaches didn't stick Flynn in there when we were up by 20+ in the 4th quarter. It's not as if we've been protecting the QB. Then especially after Clifton went out.
So, are they afraid to stick Flynn in there? Is he "not ready" yet? I mean if he goes in there and totally stinks up the joint, the fans are going to be all over Ted Thompson for not having a backup.
If he is/was ready and is actually competent to play, will we see him if we get a big lead this week? Why didn't they stick him in there last week?
Just seems like an oddity to me.

Personally I don't think Flynn's ready. But even if he was, I wouldn't have taken Rodgers out.

To me, it's a decision of balancing injury risk with letting your offense gather momentum, build rapport and practice their technique against live opponents.

When the team can show week in and week out that they can actually play at a sufficiently high enough level that you don't need to worry whether the next play is going to be a penalty on the OL.... then you can start mixing and matching.

ya this sounds right - and then if you add the fact that maybe Mike McCarthy thought we needed a nice win on detroit to help the team feel better, And flynn might throw a pick(s) and take back the dominant feeling we were having.

When flynn popped on the field last year - he looked pretty bad. I can understand not using him but I can also understand getting him some reps with some games where we are 'for sure' going to win.

The first team offense still has training wheels on, we havent found a rythmn of any sorts - I think it's a matter of priority, get the starters right first of all, and then concentrate on development.

I was more concerned as to why Charles Woodson was returning punts with a few minutes to go, up by 20+!!!

Would It really have mattered if flynn was in or not?? Cause all we did was run the ball the whole 4th quarter.

We should have let Flynn pass more. Too bad he only threw 2 passes.

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
