I don't think that Dan Snyder actually understands the game.
The problem this year is not the defense, it's the offense. This man expect miracles from his QB and RB. Their O-line has been aging for ages and he's not addressing it. Their receivers have always been mediocre. Their main threat is Cooley, a TE.
Campbell is not a QB who can carry a team, but I'm pretty sure that he can do well when he has a decent supporting cast.
As a result of that, Portis, their only legitamite weapon, is being totally maintained in every single game by opposite defenses.
Against O-line, Mediocre receivers --> Underachieving QB --> Ineffective running game.
You start along the lines. It's getting through to him on defense. Now for the offensive side.
And why is Orakpo playing OLB? They have no good DEs at all. Why go and take this kid away from what he does best? Just fit him in at DE. If it doesn't work, then screw around and try him at OLB or something.
