English is his native language. It's embarrassing the educational product this country is churning out these days. I'm not saying everyone needs to write "highfallutin'" like me, but if you can't even spell the most basic of everyday words, that's scary.

And yes, I know Twitter only allows 140 characters . . . blah, blah, blah. 😛

That's kind of my problem with Twitter--it limits you to only 140 words per tweet. For some people that means using the right combination of words to get your point across and fit it within the limit. For most others it means shortening words by misspelling them. I'm not saying that's what Nick did here but I think Tiwtter is another problem facing the English language.

Not 140 words -- 140 characters! But I agree wholeheartedly. It's catering to the ADHD generation -- keep things short at all costs. Even text messaging gives you 160 characters. Still too short, in my opinion, but it's something.

Ahh yea thanks for that correction 😉 I admit I'm a part of the ADHD generation at 21 years old but I avoided the worse of it. There's just no patience in the world today because people expect everything instantly.

A group of Packers players - including receiver James Jones, cornerback Al Harris and offensive linemen T.J. Lang, Breno Giacomini and Evan Dietrich-Smith - along with other team employees, city workers and United Way volunteers, got to work in the morning installing the new structures and re-painting some of the old ones.

Then linebacker Nick Barnett and fullback John Kuhn helped the dedicated crew in the afternoon with spreading the wood chips over the entire playground area, old and new.

By the way, longtimefan is probably pissed at me right now. I'm sorry, man, it just slipped out. ;)

Kudos to these guys for getting out in the community and working up a sweat for the benefit of those in need. I know from experience that's a great way to foster team building!

Sure, so can mine -- but it gets split up into 160-character fragments when it's transmitted, and I know from experience that certain carriers (e.g., T-Mobile, Verizon), won't accept those extra-long texts. They don't even let you know it's been blocked; it just vanishes into cyberspace. Even with carriers that let you send those extra-long texts (like mine, Alltel), you won't receive a 450-character text in one block; it will come as a series of texts. Sometimes they come in the order they were entered; sometimes the fragments arrive in an inverted order. It depends on the carrier.

If you've ever wondered why someone didn't respond to your text, it's very possible it was too long and they didn't receive it. Even 161-character texts can get blocked. My ex can't receive anything longer than 145 characters.

I wonder if he did that stupid samurai thing after owning that wheel barrel of cement.

Either way, good to see these guys helping out the community. When I saw the title of the thread I thought it was going to be another twitter story. I was close anyways. I thought Barnett got rid of the twitter account
