I don't either... behind closed doors, but what I do know is that his "clean it up" words are doing little to solve the problem.

That, " We need to address" it isn't working..

Start yanking playing time or roles away from guys that aren't performing.. I would be fine with that.

Or chew they ass on the sideline, sending a clear message to the other 52..

Anything but make an excuse like.. "He hasn't been out there for a while."

+1. You know I have been critical of Ted but it starts with him and goes thru Mike.
THEY WANTED TO HAVE THE YOUNGEST TEAM IN THE NFL. They did so in order to get out of the salary cap crunch. I could understand that but that is as far as they have been able to go in all these years. They just keep picking up young players and don't even try to go for the right mix of veteran and young players.
Now Clifton is far from a youngster but when he screws up all they have is a rookie to fall back on.

I have been thinking.. scary I know.

Maybe I have to adjust my expectations of this club.. I had such high hopes for this season that I refuse to allow it to just take its course.

We are who we are... it worked for the late 70's and 80's for me.. I wonder if I can return to that mode.

Any win is reason to celebrate.

I am beginning to think that GB doesn't really care what kind of a team they put out on the field. They are going to sell out every single game no matter what. GB fans have shown they will buy the Packer merchandise They will tune in to the coaches talk shows. They will continue to support the team no matter how mediocre they are.

I began the season thinking they could go 10-6 or 11-5 and they had a chance to make a run in the post season. Now I am hoping they go 8-8. I can not say I want a new coach or GM at this time as I do not want to start all over yet again but I want to see a change in the way the Packer's management approaches the game before I can expect to see something with the players. And yes despite how lousy they have played I will keep my tickets and suffer thru the apathetic play I have seen.

Tramon should probably start fielding kicks. And Woodson will probably have PR duty. I dont know if we have anyone else who can return punts. Maybe Brett Swain takes some reps at it.

There's no reason to want the youngest team. That's foolish. UNLESS.
... taking a time out for a story ...
College coaches often fail in the pro's because it's harder to get MEN to obey you than KIDS.
... end of story ...
Maybe the coach can't get his message through to men and needs kids who are more impressionable?

:( sad face for nelson being out ... got to like the guy on KR and as a WR

Me too. He's a north south returner. I like that. But we'll get to see what Swain can bring to the table.

Shingles is very painful. Try the Chinese herbal formula Suan Zao Ren Tang. Or Suan Zao Ren Wan is the form in teapills. You can also try colloidal silver. There's some good essential oils too.

Are we still the youngest team after signing Tauscher?

He has my deepest condolences. I had shingles about 15 years ago. Still have small scars. They suck.

As for Lang, he's the guy who should be in there instead of Cliffy.

MM has never held players accountable so if he tried to start now it probably wouldn't be very effective.

As I said in the other thread, if you are not doing to bench someone, after they had 4 pre-snap penalties, in a blow out game, then when ARE you going to bench someone? With the score heavily in our favor, that was the perfect opportunity to bench Clifton, and tell the other players this shit won't be tolerated.

And Cheesey you are correct, we do not know what goes on behind closed doors. What we DO know, is that whatever he id doing doesn't work. If all he is doing is chewing players out, then that could be why its not getting fixed.

Yelling/screaming/chewing players out is over rated. After a while players just tune that out.

What DOES work is when you take away their playing time, and or money. Also making them run laps til they puke their guts out is effective as well.

But like I said before, I don't expect this to be fixed as long as MM is here. It is what it is. Already too far gone.

I can just picture practice. As everybody ends for the day. McCarthy gets everybody together and says.

Everybody who committed a penalty sunday has to run 10 laps.

The players all laugh and head to the locker room commenting to each other. Get a load of that guy, whos he think he is.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Zero2Cool (20h) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (23h) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (23h) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers had fortunate last three drafts.
dfosterf (15-Apr) : I may have to move
dfosterf (15-Apr) : My wife just told the ancient Japanese sushi dude not enough rice under his fish
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I think a dozen is what I need
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Go fund me for this purpose just might work. A dozen nurses show up at 1265 to provide mental health assistance.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : If they knew about it or not
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Spotting ball isn't changing, only measuring distance is, Which wasn't the issue.
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : The spotting of the ball IS the issue. Not the chain gang.
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Will there be a tracker on the ball or something?
