The Vikes and the Lions are very bad, we are not good enough for a SB team and Ted Thompson is lucky our division is the worst one in the NFL.
Having 6 almost-sure wins in the season ocludes the real problems that makes the team a bad fit for the playoffs, these are my points:

1) The offensive line is really bad
Tony Moll can't play in a serios team.
Daryn Colledge is not good enough, that was a bad 2nd round pick.
Spitz is a good backup as soon as we get a decent OL

The hidden problem is that the OL can't protect in pass situations we had to play with 3 WR and max-protect to save Rodgers life and then nobody is open

2) We need Ruvell Martin back ASAP
We only played with 3WRs Driver, Jennings and Nelson. James Jones is playing really bad so without a 4WR or 5WR package the defense is easy

3) We badly need either smarter players or better coaching
I saw just too many missassignments
players covering nobody
WRs at the same place in several plays
guards run blocking in pass plays
safeties constantly out of position
linebackers attacking the wrong hole or no hole at all

It's cool. I was just hoping for something other than a the end is near type thread. hah :)

It's your opinion and that's cool. I just disagree with the mentality that some have that we need a complete overhaul and that Ted Thompson is 'lucky' the division appears to be weak.

The Bears are going to do decent. The Vikings might surprise some people and the Lions are still the lions. By no means do we have a power house division, but also, we don't have a cake walk division either. To say that a GM is lucky because of the division I jus feel is ... well I can't think of a good way to say it.

I think this is an over reaction.

1) We are missing two starters in Wells and Sitton. Tony Moll is not going to be seeing that much playing time as the season goes on. Jason Spitz gets the job done.

2) Receivers is still a deep position on this team. I have seen multiple people say receivers are a concern, just because they didn't have that great of a game. Some of that has to be put on Aaron Rodgers and the coaches for not getting the job done in the redzone. Quite truthfully, most of the teams in the NFL would gladly trade receiving corps with us.

3) I agree with you. I put this on the coaches, I feel that all those missed assignments can't be only the players' fault. We also need to take a look at our strength & conditioning program because it seemed only our players were cramping up and taking a lot of oxygen.

Thanks Bigbyfan and Zero2Cool for the encouragement, I will remember your ideas and try to be more positive about our real expectations.

I just have the feeling that something is very wrong because every time we play a good team we have just too many problems.

Our division was over .500 last season. That means it was better than average.

1. I agree that Moll and Colledge are not very good. That's why they are backups. Hopefully the line will improve when Wells and Sitton come back. Poor pass blocking has to be the Packers' biggest concern right now.

2. James Jones banged his bad knee almost immediately in last night's game, which may explain why he was sub-par and definitely explains why he could not even finish the game. He is a very good #3, but like any other player, he's not as good when he isn't healthy.

3. The coaching is fine. For me, that's actually the most discouraging thing about last night's loss. I thought the Packers had a good game plan. But they were outmuscled and outplayed overall.

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job

dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic

Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Oh snap!!!
