The biggest irony I see in this discussion is that it's the same people calling for Campen's head who are excited about the prospect of Tauscher's return. If he couldn't make do with the personnel we brought into the season, how well do you think he'll be able to fit another piece into the puzzle?

Campen had little to do with the basic pure fundamentals of footwork and basic blocking principles with either Clifton, Tauscher and Wells. They broke in under Beightol and were taught sound fundamental, where as we have seen the same slap happy fundamental mistakes from the players developed under Campen. That doesn't strike you as odd?
Listen.. would I rather have a young stud of a tackle to replace either Tauscher or Clifton. Yes.. they are on the downside of their careers, but I can tell you both can fundamentally block better than any other option we have at tackle. Point blank period.
They might get beat with speed, IE Clifton.. but both know how to pass block on the edges. No they aren't dominant run blockers, but we are a pass first team, so it makes sense to have guys that strengths are pass blocking to win out.
And if that doesn't seal the freaking door on the job Campen has done getting players ready in his tenure, then I give the hell up.
I get the same pissing an moaning story about Clifton has his difficulties handling speed on a fast turf.. then this staff should have had a plan B in place. They don't, they freaking failed, so sorry if I feel more confident with the warrior in Clifton and Tauscher out there than the freaking options.
Hence why it is time to chuck Campen.. hell it is well past time.
There is no emotional swings.. just freaking fed up with the same happy bullshit since the 06 season.. we haven't had a teacher on the offensive line since that point. It is pathetic.
