I for one can not wait for Brandon Jackson to be back. I don't care what anyone says he runs with a fire and a passion that no other back on our team does. He brings something to the table that no one else does, he never is content with going down, too many times I see Grant run into the line with his head down, excepting defeat. Jackson doesn't do this, he fights for every inch.

I think getting Jackson back at full strength will be good. I don't think he has the breakaway speed or durability that Grant has but he has a much faster stop/start ability when making cuts and whatnot. With the not so good run blocking we have had I think Jackson may be our best option at the moment.

Jackson is better at screens than Grant, although I also thought the same about Wynn. MM doesn't seem to like screens like Sherman did.

Yeah, I know. I'm not a Sherman fan but Sherman did do several things right and one of them was the screen.

So...

here's to hoping Jackson being back soon, we'll see more of them.

Yeah, I know. I'm not a Sherman fan but Sherman did do several things right and one of them was the screen.

So...

here's to hoping Jackson being back soon, we'll see more of them.

Sherman also had a great offensive line and Ahman Green. But I agree, McCarthy does seem to shy away from the screen. I don't know if it's his lack of confidence in Grant or what, but it I feel it's a huge dimension that the offense is missing out on.

The problem I saw with Grant the past 3 weeks is that far too often, Grant wasn't able to stay on his feet. Although I'm sure Grant got a few extra yards diving forward on some of the runs than if he hadn't had dived forward, sometimes it seemed like a big run was possible but Grant was already stumbling as he's reaching the offensive line.
