what's the story with Barnett's absence in the second half? Bishop played pretty well in replacing barnett.

According to Bedard, Barnett was on a play count. They didn't want him in any more than 40 plays coming off the knee injury.

- Run calling and our chosen RB = poor

- Oline protection better; but zoneblocking still needs to go

- Driver A+ (how can you beat a one handed catch 50 yards downfield

- Jolly A

- chillar (he is our best coverage back but he gets a lower mark today C

- Woodson A

- Rodgers B+

- Defense to stop the run C

I only watched the stream here so could of missed things ...

yup rather than playing him every other series they just played him normal but only for 40 snaps. bishop played everything after that. apparently barnett told mccarthy if hes gonna have a snap limit then his body can't handle doing every other series.

Overall grade - C.

I know we got field goals off of those first two turnovers, but I can't be too excited for 3s when you start your drive inside the opposing team's 20 yard line in back to back possessions.

I know they thought they had the proper match-ups and all, but WTF is up with the constant shots downfield?! Luckily a few of them worked! How about we just move the chains! I know it's hard with the running game we have, but the rare occasion that a slant was thrown, it worked perfectly. Just my opinion of course.

The run stopping is starting to worry me a tad bit now. I know Jackson is a pretty good back, but these guys have to start taking better angles! That one to the right side where Hawk had some God forsakenly bad angle was just horrible! And before I'm accused of "piling on" Hawk, that other run to the right where Harris didn't achieve containment was just as bad.

Yes, we won, and I'm glad, and am by no means expecting perfection, but we have a pretty good team coming up next week, and playing the way we played today will not beat them!

I'm not sure about Hawk looking slow this season. He ran down Hester in the open field in week 1. He's getting a lot of tackles, including many near the L.O.S..

Hawk will never live up to the #5 overall draft pick billing Packer fans expect from him. He is a solid player for us and in no way is Terrell Buckley or Steroids Mandarich. For every guy like Hawk who is perceived to be underachieving, we have somone like Tramon Williams. I don't think people take into consideration who crappy that whold draft was at the top. There wasn't a plethora of LT's like this year.

Apparently if you are not making the highlight reel, you are not a good player. Every player makes good plays, and makes bad plays. Seems lately, nobody remembers the good ones, only the bad.

Unless that good play is made by a cut player.

I understand what you are saying and there is some validity in it. However you are simplifying it a bit. I prefer solid consistent play by the team to highlight plays.

Most of us are glad with the good plays they make. They are not overlooked. Pointing to the poor plays are something that could be a problem against the better teams. It concerns us.

In the preseason I thought this GB team had the look af a team that would make a deep run in the playoffs. But after 3 weeks the shortcomings of the team are becoming very apparent. I will not be surprised if they end up 8-8. Four weeks ago I would not have thought it possible.

Solid and consistent is exactly what I like. There is far to much, so and so takes bad angles, is to slow, doesn't run hard. Seems like to many people think a player is playing bad if their name isn't called during the game. Jolly had a block and recovered a fumble. But I would say Jenkins had just as much of an impact, but never really had his name called.

Solid and consistent. Is the main reason that Tauscher is one of my favorite players.
