Let me say it again for the 1000th time.

YOU SET UP YOUR RUNNING GAME WITH THE PASSING GAME WITH THE WEAPONS THIS TEAM CAN PUT ON THE FIELD!!!!!!!!!

I'm tired, and it looks like AR is tired of the same old vanilla offense MM is trying to run.!!!!

Dammit let this guy show what he can do!!!! This team wants to be in the play-offs this year AR is going to have to be pushing or go over 5000 yds. by the end of the season.

I guarantee you, if The Packers would look pass first then run, by the end of the game, Ryan Grant will be blowing up their defense with long runs!!!

Hell what do I know?
I was addicted to The Hokey Pokey, but I turned myself around!

I like that Rodger is always blaming himself, or should I say, seeing what he can do to improve.

I agree we have to pass to set up the run, see our NFC Championship loss (that season).

"We need more pass options, fewer blockers" - there's a very good reason for more blockers, I'm not sure leaving it up to an O-Line that's this shakey (to say the least) is the best way to go.... unless you can dump that ball off pretty sharp.... of course the Rams will eventually get wise and we'll be back to more blockers.

It didn't matter when we had more blockers in. Rodgers was still getting sacked on 7 and 8 man protection. They were getting past anyway. Might as well have the checkdown option available.

McCarthy can NOT treat this offense like its struggling and he has to find a way to make it work. It is full of weapons and one of the main things that held it back last week was his inability to have confidence in all aspects of it. Instead of worrying about calling it safe, he needs to attack and keep the D on its heels. Mix it up. Run and pass. Play call like its a juggernaut and it will be one, in my opinion.

Best way to stop a blitz?

Dump off passes.

That's exactly what I was thinking about this situation. If you can't stop the pressure, move the pocket around a bit and dump it off quickly. Should help open up the run as well, particularly if formations are well disguised.

I completely agree. Last 2 games it just has not been the same offense. There I am yelling at them to get the quick passes off that I've come to love and instead they're having Rodgers drop back with no easy option. It also shouldn't take away from the fact that our o-line needs some serious work.

It might seem counterintuitive that the guy whos been getting killed 10 sacks and 19 hits in two games wants less protection, but the logic is that by keeping in running backs and tight ends less often, Rodgers will have more options to get the ball out quicker if hes facing pressure.

Yup. Get the ball off sooner to compensate for a crappy OL.

I remember Lynn Dickey playing with the worst OL in the NFL and dumping off a lot of passes to Gerry Ellis.

Same concept.

Spreading out the field makes the Olines lives easier. Every player that you get away from the line, is 1 less player the lineman have to account for. When you have 5 wide, if they blitz anybody but the MLB/ILB that is free, then we have an easy WR open. For each player that is added to the backfield, or TE it adds 1 additional option for blitzing without uncovering that open WR.
The world needs ditch diggers too Danny!!!

Bump.

Didn't get to see the game. Questions for those who did. What did we do differently? I only see 2 completions to RBs, and most everything went to WRs.

Did we max protect? Or was our OL holding up well?

yeah well the o line could not really do any worse than last week, but yes they did hold up nicely, especially after those 2 sacks
