Packers OL shuffle should be a concern

"Through two games, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been sacked a league-high 10 times. And with the Green Bay offensive line going through big changes this week thanks to an injury to left tackle Chad Clifton, the pressure is on a patchwork group to keep Rodgers upright against the Rams on Sunday.

The injury to Clifton -- a high ankle sprain -- forced Green Bay to send left guard Darryn Colledge outside during last week's game with the Bengals. Colledge got taken to school by the Bengals Antwan Odom, who finished the day with a fairly impressive five sacks. ......

....After their Cutler-aided, season-opening win over the Bears, Green Bay got stunned at home by Cincinnati last week. The Pack really needs this one tomorrow at St. Louis.
If they fail there, it will be a long, bleak week leading up to their game at Minnesota where an old dude with an axe to grind awaits."

MM and the offensive coordinate better have been burning the midnight oil figuring this problem out.

My guess is that we need perfect execution on quick slants and curl routes at the beginning of the game in order to open up the playbook for later in the game. If they choose to jam our guys at the line then we need to go five wide to counter. One important key to todays game is NO EASY DROPPED PASSES.

Yeah, the problem began when the 'musical chairs' ended on the line.

It's what the fans wanted to hear from MM. Great, now everyone is settled in, our line will continue to gel, right? Wrong. Look what happened when Colledge had to shift to LT. Guess how many snaps he took at LT in practice? Zero.

We have 3 guys starting at new positions on the left and two less than impressive holdovers on the right.

The nice thing is that there isn't much of a drop off from Spitz to Wells. I tihnk Spitz is close to as good as Colledge. Colledge is a better run blocker than Clifton, so I hope to see a steady dose of Grant.
