I totally disagree. I just like them better with logos.

Although a blank helmet is acceptable, I don't get why you wouldn't want a logo. It's something that fans relate to. I mean, they pretty much just went and made their own 'logo' with all their bulldog stuff. There's no reason not to cash in on that and make a bulldog your logo, really.

OK seriously, I have heard various explanations, but what does the "G" stand for?

No, but I do have about a 100 more FC Groningen, Ajax and PSV fans than you. Erm...

I get your point and in time, I bet that the Brown color has taken on some kind of a fanbase, but I still think that a logo is better. Both for marketing purposes and for new fans to relate to a franchise.

Let me just put it like this. As a foreign fan, the Browns look very blank and boring. I have no location to base my team on. Not saying that the Browns would be out of the question, but they're just so... boring.

At this point, I think that history is pulling them through. And that's after the franchise actually moved away from Cleveland already.

I just think that the franchise would be more recognizable and easier to notice if they, for instance, would to start this logo.

Too bad it would have to be a dog with no teeth. I mean, heck, the team has no bite!

I spent a week in Cleveland one day, and all I got to say about that is any confusion the Browns are causing regarding an association with that city and it's traditions might be intentional.

Blank might be appropriate also, seems reflective of what they got goin' on...

It better not be a bulldog, that's all I got to say. I fear it would be. This would annoy me and many of my friends greatly. That might be why they have not adopted it, although we do have posse comitatus laws in this land that should, on paper, mitigate some of the fears the Browns organization might have in that department. (Kind of an inside humor thing, that)

They could go with that little elf as well. I couldn't care less. If bulldogs are nearly trademarked by the navy there. Lol.

If it's really that bad, they won't need a logo. The franchise will just move away in a short timespan. They just start out as blanks in Cleveland untill they become a real franchise. It's not like Ohio actually needs two franchises, anyway. One constantly horrible team's enough, I think.

I gotta say, I think the guy who created these new logos is a genius. I really do.

The logos he made aren't very good, but look at what he's really doing here- getting free advertising for his marketing company, which shows that he's good at his job. I'd hire him if I was looking for a marketing guy in WI. But I'd probably get someone else if I wanted a new logo.

Browns = The Color Brown. what could be more fucking genius than that? seriously, it's just as classic as our colors and our G. tons of outsiders think our colors are fucking godawful but WE wouldn't want it any other way.

shit, i feel like the Browns colors and helmet is one of the few remaining things in the NFL today which harkens back to a more romantic era...the Lombardi days...the hard-nosed, black&blue, midwestern/east coast, cold weather, blue-collar, ass-kicking era of football.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

BOOOOOOO.

No need to change.

Cities like New York and San Francisco have an identity crisis and need to show both letters on their helmets.
There is no problem like that in GREEN Bay.

I did not see if someone else commented on it but the Steelers logo is the old US Steel logo. USS let them use it.
