I'm into alot of different tunes. I like anything from SOME R&B, a little bit of wholesome rap, country, rock, some hardcore stuff (Lordi, old school Korn, etc) worship music, and even some symphony stuff (August Rush had the best music in a movie I've ever seen).

On my iTunes, I have anyone from Eminem to Britney Spears to Chris Brown to Korn to Jeremy Camp.

I'm one of them young fellers into all kinds of crazy stuff. Well, not that crazy. I started out as a teen kind of liking metallica, but wanted some orchestra thrown in and some pure metal taken out (I think the awesomeness that is No Leaf Clover was my epiphany). My girlfriend introduced me to Dream Theater, which I still like to this day. One day I was browsing youtube watching fan videos for Babylon 5 (awesome sci-fi, btw), heard portions of a song I liked, and went on the internet to (totally legally) download more songs by this peculiar artist (Nightwish). I found a few kind of crappy ones and a few good ones, until I found a few really good ones. I went out and bought a couple CDs, still love them ever since. Since then I've also gotten a bit into Epica

All of Nightwish's CDs are a bit different. All of them are quite symphonic, a few are borderline gothic but most are simply metal. The band itself is Finnish, lead singer (Female, definitely operatic) was phenomenal (replaced recently by someone I'm not so much a fan of), male vocals are ok. Epica is from the netherlands and is a little more girly... Not at all a fan of the male vocalist, but you can't really have everything, can you?

I love Nightwish! :thumbright:

They're my second favorite band after Judas Priest. Epica is in my top 25 fave bands.

I'm a Metalhead.

Oh, I'm bummed I never saw Nightwish with their original singer. I did see them on their last tour, but it's with the new singer. She's good, but she's more pop, not at all operatic.

Yeah, I saw Nightwish at the House of Blues in Chicago, unfortunately after they ditched Tarja. I'm still sad, amazing voice :<

My favourite band of all time is "Yes" progressive rock.

To me there has never been a group that comes near to them in musical prowess.

I have every studio CD (all 18) numerous complilations and live albums. Plus a few concert bootlegs.

When I'm not talking about the Packers I'm talking about "Yes".

I met the drummer Alan White at The Cavern Club in Liverpool in October 2007 and had my photo taken with him and he autographed my copy of "Tales From Topographic oceans" (without doubt the greatest album ever!!!!!!!) Alan played the drums with John Lennon in the Plastic Ono band (playing on Imagine)

If you like dream theatre and their orchestral arrangements then "Yes" are deifinately for you.

Try "Close to the Edge", "Tales from Topgraphic Oceans" and "Relayer" for starters

Dream Theatre list "Yes" as innovators for their style of music and have supported "Yes" on numerous occasion.

Bruce Springsteen, Alter Bridge, The Smashing Pumpkins, Pearl Jam and Rage Against the Machine are some of my favorite bands, and my most important influences as I am currently writing songs with some of my musical acquaintances (I'm a drummer).

Funny you're naming all these American bands. I'm right now listening to 69 Eyes. Recently got into them. Love H.I.M although their sound guy (when I saw them in SF) needs to be shot. And of course Nightwish is my 2nd fave band. Finland's got some great bands.

I think we've had this discussion before though. If I remember correctly, you don't like H.I.M very much.
