Game of the Week: Week 2Green Bay Ninjas (1-0) vs Amsterdam Admirals (1-0)*As both of these teams enter Week 2, they have a lot to be happy of. The Admirals had the highest points of Week 1 with Adrian Peter gaining 37 points and the Eagles' D/ST gathering 33 points, while the Ninjas had Joe Flacco and Thomas Jones combine for 45 points. These teams are both in the PackersHome East and are trying to gain control.
Green Bay Ninjas: The Green Bay Ninjas had an very good Week 1 with 91 points. One of the team's player though, the Buccaneer's D/ST, only came out with 1 point. To adjust this, the GM is now starting the 49ers D which made 8 points last week. "I feel that we have a better chance with the 49ers defense." said the GM, "Yes, the Bucs are playing the Seahawks next week that made 28 points, but the Seahawks were playing the Rams and we don't believe they have a good defense." Probably though, the most disappointing aspect for the team was Brandon Jacobs who only made 5 points. Right now the Ninjas are in high hopes that Jacobs can make a comeback against Dallas who has to plays Sunday Night. If Jacobs, Flacco, and Jones have a big game, then chances are they will win.
Amsterdam Admirals: The Amsterdam Admirals was the best team of Week 1 with an amazing 125 points. A lot of this had to do with Running Back Adrian Peterson and the Eagles' D/ST, and none of this was a mistake. Peterson ran for 180 yards a 3 TDs against the Browns, and with no mistakes with the ball this shows us he was not a mistake as the 1st Pick of the Draft. The Eagles' D/ST made an astounding 33 points with only allowing 10 points and making 5 INTs and 1 TD. The only real downside for the Admirals was QB Carson Palmer and Ted Ginn Jr.. Carson Palmer had 5 points against the Broncos last week who are not considered a real threat to any team and this week he goes against the packers who made 4 INTs against the Bears. Ted Ginn Jr. had 1 point, and the GM has already addressed this issue by making Issac Bruce the starter. As long as Peterson and the Eagles' D/ST makes half the points they made last week, they have a good shot to win.
To explain things, I pick one GM to interview from the Game of the Week, and this week it's the...
GM of the Amsterdam AdmiralsQ: Were you surprised you had the highest points last week?A: I was, actually. I wasnt that sure that anyone except for Peterson was going to give me a reasonable amount of points. The Eagles D/ST really helped me, though. They combined for nearly 60% of my points last week.
Q: I see you have Peterson, are you expecting big things when he plays against the Lion's defense?A: Well, yes. I assume that the Vikings wont be trailing a whole lot against the Lions, so that'll mean more hand-offs for Peterson. I expect him to carve that defense up. Although he might lose some touches to the passing games, as the Lions have a pretty decent LB core, but a horrible secondary.
Q: Are you expecting as many points as last week, an amazing 37?A: No. He had an amazing amount of yardage combined with 3 TDs. Youll see him get a lot of yards often enough, but 3 TDs is something Im not expecting again for this week.
Q: Your opponent, The Green Bay Ninjas, do you think you have an upper hand on them?A: We both have great teams. His put up 91 points last week. He has a great RB in Thomas Jones and a rising star in Flacco. Its going to be a close one.
Q: Ted Ginn Jr. only gave you 2 points last week, do you think starting Issac Bruce will give you more chances for points?A: Choosing between Isaac Bruce, Ted Ginn Jr. and Chanci Stuckey is more of a gamble at this point than anything else. Ted Ginn was very unimpressive last week and has a tough match-up against a Colts defense that gave up just 12 points last week. Just by assessing the match-ups, I have indeed chosen to start Isaac Bruce. Im not expecting him to put up huge numbers, but his contributions could just be enough to put this team over the top.
Q: Do you think Carson Palmer can make more then 5 points against a Packers defense which produced 4 interceptions?A: Carson Palmer is a great. His supporting cast, though, isnt. Im hoping that he doesnt put up negative points. At this point, though, I have little choice than starting him at the QB position.
Q: The projected score is Green Bay Ninjas 102 - Amsterdam Admirals 114. What do you predict?A: A lot of players on both teams face some stiff competition this week. I think that the score might be considerably lower than expected.
Q: Thank you for your time!A: No problem.
That's all, make sure to vote for Week 3's Game of the Week!
