Here again NFL.com screws up the NFC Conference rankings which does not equal playoff position.

The Falcons a Wild Card Team is listed ahead of the 49'ers a division leader. They won head to head.

To be consistent then the Packers should be listed ahead of the 49'ers too as the Packers have a better conference winning % than the 49'ers. Packers 3-1 and the 49'ers 3-2. Additionally the Cowboys and Eagles are 2-1 in the conference which is a higher conference winning % than the 49'ers.

This is part of why I track it myself is because there is bad information out there. I share it so you will have a good source of information.
