Aaron Rodgers is a B in my grades. Although he had some bad throws the O-Line really did not help him out too much.

Agree with most of the analysis. My only changes are:
Running Backs: B
Lack of turnovers gets rid of the minus sign for me. As well as I thought when Grant had blocking to the outside he ran well, and for the most part made the most of his runs. Instead of going down two-hand touch style he was going down to swarms of defenders but kept his legs churning. I thought his TD run was a great sign that he can actually push with his legs this year.

Special Teams: A-
Crosby bounced back after that miss which I liked to see, he didn't give up. I have to give Slocum huge credit, our coverage teams did spectacular against 2 very good return men in the game and the boys on the field tackled and didn't give up the big play. I like what I saw there.
On top of every beard grows a man.

Statistically GB got out played in nearly every category yet still won the game.
The offensive could not consistently convert the turnovers into points.
226 total yards (150 yards passing) is poor to say the least. Yes the Bears have a tough defense but still. poor outing overall. Toomnay dropped passes.

Defense, while getting 4 TO's still gave up a lot of yards. (352) The front 7 did a solid job but there were problems in the secondary. Missed assignments. Poor tackling, bad pursuit angles. receivers left wide open.
Tough game. escaped with the W. move on to the next game.

Offensive Line: C
They were the root cause for the offense's sputtering the entire game.

The offensive line almost lost the game for us. Luckily our defense had some turnovers to neutralize the horrible o-line. I don't think Barbre will be playing this weekend. I give Barbre an F--

That's sort of high grades for a team that struggled very much last night.

Quaterback: B+
I went with a B+ because Rodgers had a mediocre game but succeeded in doing what he couldn't do last year, "win it in the last two minutes". He was inconsistent with a lot of his throws. He overthrew wide open receivers a couple times. Hit Jennings when it mattered though.

Running Backs: C
Ryan Grant had a few good break out runs. However, he is still pedestrian on hitting the open hole. Wynn didn't really produce much and had I think 2 dropped passes.

Offensive Line: D
Played alright in the 1st half but just alright does not cut it. Barbre especially needs a lot of work. He was manhandled the ENTIRE game and still couldn't block Ogunleye with help. Penalties hurt us with this group as usual. Big run, holding call...nice pass, holding call.

Receivers: A
They caught what was manageable. Rodgers had some bad throws that they should make but that is not on them, that is on Rodgers. Our receivers get open...period. If Rodgers has time to throw, these guys catch the ball.

Defensive Line:A friggin +
These guys dominated. 3 man front....dominated. I was not disappointed in these guys at all and they bring the heat and 1 interception!

Secondary: B
Knox and Hester drop these guys a little. However, 3 int's will do the job. Al Harris got scrubbed on a horrible call. On run plays they were there as well.

Special Teams: B+
Jordy Nelson has some nice returns and I won't be surprised if he breaks one this year. Someone said in the chat 'pretty fly for a white guy' and I agree.
Tsk tsk on Crosby missing a 47(?) yarder. Dropped the rest right down the middle.
Punting was average. Would have been nice if there wasn't a holding call on the ball dropped on the 3.

A B is an above average outing. He did not have that. He had one big play, and a few smaller ones. Lots of overthrows too. He did not deserve a B in my opinion.

I would agree with most of your ratings, I do think Babre deserves an E, if he protected more Rodgers would have more time and not have to rush throws all night.

Excellent job, Finland. :thumbright:

The only thing I'd disagree with, Barbre gets an F. He was getting his *** kicked out there. It looked like Reggie White was lined up against him. Seriously. And no, that wasn't Reggie White lined up against him.

Because of Barbre, Rogers was shaky. So Barbre managed to bring down Rogers grade. The thing is, Rogers pulled together and managed a game winning drive so I'd actually bump him to a B. The other thing - there were an unacceptable number of dropped passes by our receivers. Had the receivers caught half of those drops, Rogers looks great.

beast (23-Jan) : I wonder why the Jets always hire defensive coaches to be head coach
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Still HC positions available out there. I wonder if Hafley pops up for one
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Trent Baalke is out as the Jaguars GM.
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Jeff Hafley would have been a better choice, fortunately they don't know that. Someone will figure that out next off season
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : Aaron Glenn Planning To Take Jets HC Job

Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : I've been near death ill last several days, finally feel less dead and site issues.
Zero2Cool (22-Jan) : It is a big deal. This host is having issues. It's frustrating.
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : just kidding...it was down
Martha Careful (22-Jan) : you were blocked yesterday, due to a a recalcitrant demeanor yesterday in the penalty box for a recalcitrant demeanor
dfosterf (22-Jan) : Was that site shutdown on your end or mine? No big deal, just curious
beast (21-Jan) : That way teams like Indiana and SMU don't make the conference championships by simply avoiding all the other good teams in their own confere
beast (21-Jan) : Also, with these "Super Conferences" instead of a single conference champion, have 4 teams make a Conference playoffs.
beast (21-Jan) : Also in college football, is a bye week a good or bad thing?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : The tournament format was fine. Seeding could use some work.
beast (21-Jan) : You can't assume Ohio State would of won the Michigan game...
beast (21-Jan) : Rankings were 1) Oregon 2) Georgia 3) Texas 4) Penn State 5) Notre Dame 6) Ohio State, none of the rest mattered
wpr (21-Jan) : Texas, ND and OSU would have been fighting for the final 2 slots.
wpr (21-Jan) : Oregon and Georgia were locks. Without the luxury of extra playoff berths, Ohios St would have been more focused on Michigan game.
wpr (21-Jan) : Zero, no. If there were only 4 teams Ohio State would have been one of them. Boise St and ASU would not have been selected.
Zero2Cool (21-Jan) : So that was 7 vs 8, that means in BCS they never would made it?
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : A great game. Give ND credit for coming back, although I am please with the outcome.
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : FG to make it academic
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : and there's the dagger
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooo 8 point game with 4 minutes to go!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : ooooooooohhhhhh he missed!
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Ooooo that completion makes things VERY interesting
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Game not over yet
beast (21-Jan) : Oh yeah, Georgia starting quarterback season ending elbow injury
beast (21-Jan) : Sadly something happened to Georgia... they should be playing in this game against Ohio State
beast (21-Jan) : I thought Ohio State and Texas were both better than Notre Dame & Penn State
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame getting rolled
Martha Careful (21-Jan) : Ohio State just got punched in the gut. Lets see how they respond
Mucky Tundra (21-Jan) : Notre Lame vs the Luckeyes, bleh
