4) New York Giants (fewer net TD's than Packers)

Wild Card

5) Eagles (worse division record than Giants)
6) Cowboys (fewer net points than Eagles)

Non-Playoff teams in order

7) 49'ers
8) vikings
9) Falcons
10) Cardinals
11) Redskins
12) Bears
13) Buccaneers
14) Lions
15) Panthers
16) Rams

Can we have this thread stickied, and then have it updated each week as the season goes along? Maybe CaliCheez or one of the moderators (dfos... I'm looking at you - and yes it is because you are retired and probably have nothing better to do [as I assume]) can do the updating weekly...

Hey All About.

I will post a new one each week. I have a spreadsheet that will calculate strength of victory, strength of schedule, net TD's etc.

I hate when newspapers just look at win loss ratio and then list teams alphabetically.

Perhaps I am too pendantic but early on you have to have a sense of humor about it too.

I just want accuracy.

ya I like this - definately keep this going throughout the season.

Finish the season now. Were going to the Superbowl!. I like the idea of the thread. Will help in seeign the risers and fallers. maybe add in the W-L aswell so we can see who close to a wildcard berth etc?

+1 to CaliforniaCheez for this thread. I was actually about to create an identical post myself, though as of last night I had only done the calculations for the NFC North.

Rather than creating a new thread each week, let's just update this thread so it's easier to follow, similar to MassPackersFan's power rankings thread from last year.
