After watching Dallas - Philly I think it will be a very fun and difficult game next week in Green Bay.

My silly conclusions after the Dallas game are:

Romo and TO are smart enough to beat a zone defense, I think we have to defend man to man and accept to lose some balls if TO makes a play.

Collins and Bigby if he plays are crucial, they have to be smart and fast to help in coverage to avoid a long TD catch and run.

We should be fine against the run

Romo does make some mistakes under pressure, I wonder if Kampman can get there and if KGB will have a big game, we need him.

They have all sorts of coverage problems in the middle of the field their linebackers are not good in coverage, Lee will play a big role in this game and maybe Humphrey will catch some passes too.

Is Ruvell Martin ready? A 5 WR set can be a good thing in this game.

Crosby needs to kick deeeep and we have to get to Felix Jones quickly

I think they remember Bush skills, lets not put him on the field please!

we'll need the offense to score lots of points. i don't think we'll be able to keep Dallas out of the endzone.

Good post Luis.
It's not gonna be easy against the Cows. TO is gonna makes plays.....thats a given. What we have to do is not let him and Romo control the game. Like you said, we need to rattle Romo. If he gets comfortable in the pocket, its gonna be a LONG day for Packer fans.
And out offense has to be hitting on all cylinders too. I HOPE Grant is 100% healthy for this game. We need to keep their D honest by letting them know we CAN run against them. That will help to keep pressure off AR.
Our WR's SHOULD be able to dissect the Cow's D. I think it's gonna be alot like last night's game. One score after another. But we have them HERE, so that should help.
I hope we beat those smug jerks.

I think the keys to the game are simple.

1. Pressure Tony Romo

2. Protect Aaron Rodgers

3. Limit the unnecessary penalties such as offsides and illegal man down field.

4. Stay discipline

Philly's receivers did damage against Dallas' secondary and if they can then the Pack's receivers can as well. However, GB will need to keep Rodgers up right.

When Romo is under pressure he makes mistakes. You saw him get blitz late in that game and just throw a horrible ball to Marion Barber. Barber probably would have scored and iced game but instead the ball was way out of bounds.

When he threw his INT he was also pressured and just threw one he shouldn't have thrown. Very Brett Favre like actually.

I think GB needs to stay discipline. What I mean is don't bite for the play action pass which they use to go down field and don't fall for the reverse. I think you'll see some Felix Jones reverses so they need to hold strong and contain.

That's my opinion.

Well for instance everyone ... the packers defense is more better then the philly defense ... don't know why everyone's panicking that much so are our receiving corps

Good point, if we can run against them we can keep the offense off the field, that is really a good idea, and we'll make their defense tired for a 4th quarter that can be meaningful in a close game.

It seems Scott Wells might be back, not sure about Sitton

The Packers CANNOT afford to take stupid penalties, especially on the o-line. Dallas has had a lot of problems with penalties early this season, so if the Packers clean up their play this is potentially a big advantage for us.

Sanders should blitz often. Like really often.

If our ST come out and play like they've never played before (ie at an extremely high level) it'd greatly help us. Having short field positions, heck even getting points from ST would ease so much of the pressure off of Rodgers.

I don't think the Packers D can stop the Cowboys, or even contain them. The Packers D has to limit the damage as much as possible, keeping the Cowboys around, but under, 30 would be the best case scenario IMO.

This one is going to come down to a turn over battle with the winner being decided by who has the ball last.

I see a close game with the Packers winning it at the end, 31-28

I just want to know if this board is going to go absolutely schizo-bloodthirsty-crazy if we lose this game like the old board did last year when we lost to Dallas. I know I ended up leaving for a while, cause no one could say anything without getting railed. Hopefully people will be a little more level headed this time if, and I mean IF, we lose.

i'm not gonna freak out. call me pessimistic but i think we're gonna lose this one. call it preparing myself for the worst & hoping for the best or call me a "non-fan" but that's really how i feel. plus it's only ONE game against a team that we have a history of NOT beating recently.

Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : sounds like Packers don't get good compensation, Jaire staying
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Nobody coming up with a keep, but at x amount
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Trade, cut or keep
dfosterf (16-Apr) : that from Jaire
dfosterf (16-Apr) : My guess is the Packers floated the concept of a reworked contract via his agent and agent got a f'
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Yes, and that is why I think Rob worded it how he did. Rather than say "agent"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Same laws apply. Agent must present such an offer to Jaire. Cannot accept or reject without presenting it
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : I'm thinking that is why Rob worded it how he did.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The Packers can certainly still make the offer to the agent
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Laws of agency and definition of fiduciary responsibility
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Jaire is open to a reduced contract without Jaire's permission
dfosterf (16-Apr) : The agent would arguably violate the law if he were to tell the Packers
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : That someone ... likely the agent.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : So, Jaire has not been offered nor rejected a pay reduction, but someone says he'd decline.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovksy says t was direct communication with someone familiar with Jaire’s line of thinking at that moment.
Zero2Cool (16-Apr) : Demovsky just replied to me a bit ago. Jaire hasn't said it.
dfosterf (16-Apr) : Of course, that depends on the definition of "we"
dfosterf (16-Apr) : We have been told that they haven't because he wouldn't accept it. I submit we don't know that
dfosterf (16-Apr) : What is the downside in making a calculated reduced offer to Jaire?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Packers are receiving interest in Jaire Alexander but a trade is not imminent
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : Jalen Ramsey wants to be traded. He's never happy is he?
Zero2Cool (15-Apr) : two 1sts in 2022 and two 2nd's in 2023 and 2024

dfosterf (14-Apr) : Maybe send a crew of Angels to the Packers draft room on draft day.
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : I am the Angel that gets visited.
dfosterf (14-Apr) : Visiting Angels has a pretty good reputation
Zero2Cool (14-Apr) : what
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : WINNING IT, not someone else losing it. The best victory though was re-uniting with his wife
Martha Careful (14-Apr) : The manner in which he won it was just amazing and wonderful. First blowing the lead then getting back, then blowing it. But ultimately
Zero2Cool (12-Apr) : I'm guessing since the thumb was broken, he wasn't feeling it.
dfosterf (10-Apr) : Looking for guidance. Not feeling the thumb.

Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : I don't recall that he did which is why I asked.
Zero2Cool (10-Apr) : Guessing they probably knew. Did he have cast or something on?
Mucky Tundra (10-Apr) : Did they know that at the time or was that something the realized afterwards?
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Van Ness played most of season with broken thumb
wpr (9-Apr) : yay
Zero2Cool (9-Apr) : Mark Murphy says Steelers likely to protect Packers game. Meaning, no Ireland
Zero2Cool (8-Apr) : Struggling to figure out what text editor options are needed and which are 'nice to have'
Mucky Tundra (8-Apr) : *CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP*
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : WR who said he'd break Xavier Worthy 40 time...and ran slower than you
Mucky Tundra (2-Apr) : Who?
Zero2Cool (2-Apr) : Texas’ WR Isaiah Bond is scheduled to visit the Bills, Browns, Chiefs, Falcons, Packers and Titans starting next week.
