What happened to him? I missed what had happened.

I have noticed a strong tendency for you to create a new topic, almost invariably with a question, and then abandon the topic thread.

Posting a new topic is fine. Posting a new topic with a question is also fine.

Abandoning the thread after having done both without any or much input is not acceptable.

Think in these terms. If you open up a new topic, you "own" it in the sense that you should be actively participating in the subsequent discussion.

We encourage everyone to participate, and everyone means everyone, including those that might be new to football, new to the Packers, new to this forum...hell, new to the English language...

All we ask is that when you open up a new thread, take "ownership" of it in the sense that you should be an active participatant in the ensuing discussion.

Let me give you a real life analogy. Try this once.

Go ask your wife if she would like you to do the dishes and then just walk away from her without waiting for a response.

My wife would reset my real life post count to zero for more than a little while...your results may vary :pukeright:

i propose and petition for the addition of negative applause points implemented on this website.

I agree with Twinkiegorilla.

Oh, and as an aside...and I am CERTAINLY not saying that it applies here in this case... just thought it a good idea to mention it...

In the gameday password thread all members were advised against throwing up posts to merely up their post count in order to gain access...

Well, in my opinion, that probably will not work.

As much as I like that idea in theory, all I have to do is look at SportingNews.com or ebay.com to see how much damage negative points can cause. They can tear a community apart at the seams, as in the former case, or render it impotent, as in the latter.

I haven't heared a lot about this. Apparently, it wasn't too bad, but Bellicheck doesn't want to comment on it a whole lot either. From what I have heared, he is supposed to be playing in the season opener.

They are looking for a more capable back-up, though. That might just be because Brady has shown that he's not indestructible.

As to the negative applause, like NSD said, they can screw a site over quite badly. People tend to give them just to screw around and/or because they just don't agree with a point. Wouldn't want to think of the amount of 'TT haters' that would've been somewhere around -50.

I think, for a while at least, it would have been we Ted Thompson supporters who would have had the negative applause counts. We were overrun with anti-TT vitriol for quite some time. 😉 Fortunately, most of those posters seem to have disappeared into the woodwork under the harsh light of reality.
