I'm loving the new D, along with the rest of Packer Nation.

I wonder if another advantage may be to cut down the number of penalties we pick up from our cornerbacks. As the NFL becomes ever more a pass friendly league, it seems the zebras can be pretty twitchy about aggressive corner back play on the line of scrimmage.

The bump and run stuff Harris and Woodson excel at did bring up a fair few penalties and I wonder if the switch to a more zone oriented approach may result in fewer flags.

(I'm aware we will still be using quite a bit of bump and run).

Any thoughts?

You're right on with that, a lot of our penalties came from running stride for stride with guys and bumping them.

We should also see more picks too. It's VERY rare a team plays bump and run like we did last year and comes up with that many picks. Our players will be able to read and react more instead of just running stride for stride.

I also think, instead of doing the same thing all game we'll play some press and zone. We will see more diversity this year for sure.
