Bigbys problem is he doesnt play the ball he goes for the knockout hit each time.

Atari Bigby '07- 5 interceptions, 3 forced fumbles, 9 passes defensed. That's not playing the ball?

I just hope Bigby can regain his '07 form. If not, plug in A. Smith and keep rollin'.

I was referring to how he played in 08, when he would go to knock out the WR even when he could have had a INT.

Yes...I saw this numerous times as well.

Speaking of bush, i haven't really been disgusted at all by bush this preseason, and actually he has stood out in the time he has played(against scrubs, no doubt). I think it was said before that this sort of zone scheme plays better to his skills and i hope that is true. Last year i was pretty angry that he made the team over some other guys(cant remember who now) but i dont think i would be mad this year.

In all honesty, I could see Bush making the team as Collins backup at Free Safety and the team cutting ties with Rouse so they can carry 4 RBs on the roster. I'd like to be able to keep Rouse for one more season to see if he can't use that size of his and mature into a more complete player, but with the injury to Brandon Jackson now, the team might almost be forced to carry 4 RBs on the 53-man roster.

Havner is a pretty good bet to make the team imo. His ability to be a blocking TE and fill-in at OLB as well as special teams makes him a good fit.

And back on-topic, Bigby and Smith are both clearly the tandem at Strong Safety. I still think it's Bigby's job for now, but I'd seriously be shocked if Smith doesn't get some significant snaps as the season progresses.

Last year he only played in 7 games, and he was gimpy when he was in. He just didn't have it at all. Hopefully he's healthier now.

I hope so as well, i like Atari back there he makes wideouts think twice about going up for the ball. Id just like to see him go back to his 07 form.

I was going to say we still have 2 OLBers we havnt even seen play - thompson and matthews. And supposedly these guys are supposed to be close to being starters.

I'm not totally sold on havner being a shoe in. Who knows ... people say kuhn will be the odd man out ... I got to tell you I still really like kuhns plays. And will bad sad if they dont keep him.

Had got a nice TD vs the cards and is pretty good on ST.

-crossing fingers that they keep kuhn-

I'm surprised how fast people are willing to replace Atari. He was a beast in '07. '08 he was injured most of the time, played ok while being injured. I think he'll be more like the '07 Bigby if he's healthy this season.

Smith is, as I pointed out when signed, and upgrade over Charlie Peprah.

One of 4 Safeties on the final roster.

In reply to the comment about cutting ties with Rouse:

I don't think that we need to do that just so we can keep 4 RBs. I think we will just keep 2 TEs and keep Havner as a 3rd while he can play some LB as well.
