Did Capers use it against the cardinals? If so how did it work?

He used it quite a few times. It worked for a FF and sack by Woodson on one of the plays. Don't know anymore about the rest, I was too busy waving my arms around in a spastic manner out of enjoyment.

Overall, though, this formation should be great, as long as we won't get run on too much. It's great for 3rd and 10 or something. Especially if you put a lot of pass rush specialists among the LBs. Saw Jolly playing the NT in the 1-5-5 a lot, btw. Was that just because of defensive rotations, or do you recon that he will be the NT in the 1-5-5? He has been very impressive.

Maybe Foster should get us up to date on his legal issues (if he wants) now he's in the spotlight again.

Yeah I heard the commentators call out the 1-5-5 quite a few times last night. The way Capers has mixed up his packages (and you have to assume he's keeping the majority of the playbook close to his chest until the regular season) is very intriguing. Hopefully the days of 'bend but don't break' are over in Green Bay.

I want to see a bend AND break defense.

Bend them over and break them f^cks in half and then stomp on both halves!

Last year it was bend and then break. Bend and don't break is what you want to do against offensive teams. Vs the average team you should be trying to dominate. I think we can do that.

Yes..It maximizes speed on the field, especially for 3rd and longs when you know the run isn't coming anyway.

Oh, forgot this in my first post, but to add on this. Did anyone see how little we used the 2-4-5? Or was that just me? I guess that you have to choose between 1-5-5 and 2-4-5 on most plays, so I reckon (Ty Nonstop) that's the reason.

I wonder if Capers runs a 0-6-5 or 0-5-6 as well. I've seen the Patriots do that before. Very high pressure play where you pretty much give away 5 yards standardly on the run. Would love to see it, though.

http://packershome.com/index.php?name=ForumsPro&file=viewtopic&t=4874  . Oh yeah, was as high on it there as I am now. Did I mention that I love Dom Capers?
