Is Chillar really that valuable as the first reserve at ILB, providing Barnett assumes his position as a starter when he's fully fit? Bishop is also playing himself into consideration at one of the ILB positions and 4 into 2 doesn't go, regardless of rotation. I'd prefer to see Matthews start at ROLB, but I think Chillar should be considered if Matthews can't get over his hamstring issues.

Barnett isn't going to be at full form for quite a while. He might be cleared to play next week, but he won't be 100%. They need Chillar to start or play certain packages and specifically against the pass. Chillar has also made the adjustment to the new scheme quite well whereas it's an unknown of whether or not Barnett can do it.

I'm also not sure Chillar can provide any outside pass rush to play ROLB in this scheme. I think he's a great fit inside where Capers can make designs around it, but for the most part, teams know that those two outside backers are going to get after the quarterback.

If we had to shift over an ILB to OLB i would like to see someone like Bishop do it, seeing how good of a blitzer and heavy hitter the guy is, i think he would fit a little better than chillar. Chillar is a good blitzer, but hes a smaller more coverage orientated guy, perfect for ILB.
