Today Julie, I wish you and your husband nothing but the very best.

I can offer two small bits of wisdom.

First for the Bride, never go to bed angry---always stay up and argue.

Second for the Groom, always remember those three magic words that will keep your marriage strong and your wife by your side---You're right, dear.

If it weren't for marriage, men would spend their lives thinking they had no faults at all.

A small pearl of wisdom for the groom...

No man was ever shot by his wife while doing the dishes.

well the big day is over & boy what an "interesting" day it was!! everything began great - beautiful weather, reception all set up, beer keg ready, food cookin, we head to the chapel. get in our fancy clothes, get a few pictures taken, watch the guests arriving, & suddenly i realize...the preacher isn't there yet. it's still 30 minutes til the wedding starts so i'm not in complete panic mode at this point. take a few more pictures, look out the window, pictures, window...no freakin preacher yet. now it's 15 minutes til & i am officially panicking!!! i finally get in contact with him on his cell phone & i ask him where he is?? this is what i hear on the other line...
'OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD! OH MY GOD!' dude completely FORGOT about the wedding & he's an hour & a half away!!!!!! he's my hometown preacher in the church i've belonged to my entire life & he forgot my wedding???? way NOT cool!!! so, my maid of honor who knows the mayor of a small town in the area called him to see if he could help us find a minister in the area. his words were "I'M ON IT!!!" so, we have to announce that there's a delay to everyone - totally embarrassing!! and we wait for about 25 minutes, get a call from a minister who's within 5 minutes of us, & the next thing i know, he's rescuing us!! he had another wedding at 3pm so he ran in the back door of the chapel, said "i need to know your names", signs the wedding license, & marries us in about 5 minutes!!

not once did i fall apart, cry, or freak out - amazing!! and yes i know the most important part is that we got married but my preacher best keep his distance for a few day...mont...years!!!

tomorrow around this time, i'll be in mexico with a margarita in my hand, laying on the beach - trust me, we need it!!!

Aww Illy......try to look at it this way......you have WAY more then a "normal" wedding memory! In the future you will be able to laugh about this!
It might not seem like it now, but you WILL laugh!

I bet your Dad was looking down, laughing, and saying "THAT will teach any daughter of mine for marrying a VIKINGS fan!!!"
Lots of love to you Illy!!!

and the stories continue!!...man what a honeymoon we had!
monday - flew into mexico, got sent to the wrong resort, 3 hours later, we get checked in to the right resort. we were promised ocean view, honeymoon suite - didn't happen!

tuesday - we're informed we have to sit thru some bullshite sales deal becuz we got such a 'great' deal on our rooms. never sat thru a high-pressure sales thing - it sucked, we didn't buy, we went from being loved by everyone to instant hate - it was REAL fun!

wednesday & thursday - relatively uneventful, hit the beach, the ocean, went into playa del carmen to shop, came back to the resort for dinner. went to this brazilian place - food was inedible, left in the middle of the meal. (i've NEVER done that before)

friday - rented jetski & head out into the ocean, flipped it over, lungs, nose, mouth FULL of salt water - couldn't breathe. man that was 'fun' too.

saturday - nightmare getting out of the resort & to the airport. we get on a full plane only to have some psycho woman pitch a fit because she couldn't sit by her children. it's a frickin plane with a couple hundred people on it - wtf's gonna happen to her kids?? she delayed us at least 15 minutes with her nonsense. hit major turbulence during the majority of the flight.

i need a vacation from my vacation! 😞 😞

Glad to hear you had such a "good time".

My wife and I sat thru that same damn sales pitch down in Orlando 27 years ago. They hated us too. We told the salesman no, he went and got his boss. No again. He went and got the dude running the whole show. No yet again. They were yelling so I yelled back. All three of them working me over at the same time. They were selling some dumb gimmicky thing called timesharing. I never heard of it and never thought it would last. I told them it made no sense for me to buy rental place before I bought a house. I told them we most likely wouldn't be back to Disney until 1) we had kids and 2) they were old enough to enjoy the experience so why buy property there instead of some place else.
We had to sit on a bus with the driver for at least a half an hour before he was allowed to take us back to our hotel. Actually we had him drop us off at a restaurant near our hotel. Everyone else in our group bought a timeshare so their real estate agents not only drove them back, they bought them lunch too.

4PG, I am sure that there were "moments" on your trip that made it all worth while.

dfosterf (26-Jun) : I think it would be great to have someone like Tom Grossi or Andy Herman on the Board of Directors so he/they could inform us
dfosterf (26-Jun) : Fair enough, WPR. Thing is, I have been a long time advocate to at least have some inkling of the dynamics within the board.
wpr (26-Jun) : 1st world owners/stockholders problems dfosterf.
Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
dfosterf (25-Jun) : It also says he is subject to another ballot in 2028. I recall nothing of this nature with Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy is on my ballot subject to me penciling him in as a no.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : I thought it used to be we voted for the whatever they called the 45, and then they voted for the seven, and then they voted for Mark Murphy
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Because I was too lazy to change my address, I haven't voted fot years until this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : of the folks that run this team. I do not recall Mark Murphy being subject to our vote.
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
Zero2Cool (25-Jun) : Maybe wicked wind chill made it worse?
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : And then he signs with Cleveland in the offseason
Mucky Tundra (25-Jun) : @SharpFootball WR Diontae Johnson just admitted he refused to enter a game in 41° weather last year in Baltimore because he felt “ice cold”
Zero2Cool (24-Jun) : Yawn. Rodgers says he is "pretty sure" this be final season.
Zero2Cool (23-Jun) : PFT claims Packers are having extension talks with Zach Tom, Quay Walker.
Mucky Tundra (20-Jun) : GB-Minnesota 2004 Wild Card game popped up on my YouTube page....UGH
beast (20-Jun) : Hmm 🤔 re-signing Walker before Tom? Sounds highly questionable to me.
Mucky Tundra (19-Jun) : One person on Twitter=cannon law
Zero2Cool (19-Jun) : Well, to ONE person on Tweeter
Zero2Cool (19-Jun) : According to Tweeter
Zero2Cool (19-Jun) : Packers are working on extension for LT Walker they hope to have done before camp
dfosterf (18-Jun) : E4B landed at Andrews last night
dfosterf (18-Jun) : 101 in a 60
dfosterf (18-Jun) : FAFO
Zero2Cool (18-Jun) : one year $4m with incentives to make it up to $6m
dfosterf (18-Jun) : Or Lions
dfosterf (18-Jun) : Beats the hell out of a Vikings signing
Zero2Cool (18-Jun) : Baltimore Ravens now have signed former Packers CB Jaire Alexander.
dfosterf (14-Jun) : TWO magnificent strikes for touchdowns. Lose the pennstate semigeezer non nfl backup
dfosterf (14-Jun) : There was minicamp Thursday. My man Taylor Engersma threw
dfosterf (11-Jun) : There will be a mini camp practice Thursday.
Zero2Cool (11-Jun) : He's been sporting a ring for a while now. It's probably Madonna.
Martha Careful (10-Jun) : We only do the tea before whoopee, it relaxes me.
wpr (10-Jun) : That's awesome Martha.
Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : How's the ayahuasca tea he makes, Martha?
Martha Careful (10-Jun) : Turns out he like older women
Martha Careful (10-Jun) : I wasn't supposed to say anything, but yes the word is out and we are happy 😂😂😂
Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : I might be late on this but Aaron Rodgers is now married
Mucky Tundra (10-Jun) : Well he can always ask his brother for pointers
Zero2Cool (10-Jun) : Bo Melton taking some reps at CB as well as WR
Zero2Cool (10-Jun) : key transactions coming today at 3pm that will consume more cap in 2025
Zero2Cool (9-Jun) : Jaire played in just 34 of a possible 68 games since the start of the 2021 season
Zero2Cool (9-Jun) : reported, but not expected to practice
Zero2Cool (9-Jun) : Jenkins has REPORTED for mandatory camp
Zero2Cool (9-Jun) : I really thought he'd play for Packers.
buckeyepackfan (9-Jun) : Packers releasing Jaire Alexander.
Mucky Tundra (8-Jun) : (Context: he wants his defense to create turnovers)
