So at my count there seems to be 83 players currently on the roster, which means for each of the 3 unsigned rookies they'll have to cut a player to get to the limit of 80 for training camp.

Who do you guys think are the last few cuts before TC begins?

I don't really know. Someone who could be gone is Lansanah. He's been on the practice squad for a year and they're trying to keep him by converting him into a TE/LB hybrid or something. Looking at OTA reports, though, he has brick hands.

One guy I hope that doesn't get cut is Jamarko Simmons. Would love to see him as the nr. 5 guy. Don't get me wrong, I love Martin, but the nr. 5 spot to me is for players who can still progress. Martin has been playing football for quite a while now (1 Season in Europe, 3 with the Packers) and doesn't seem to be going up a whole lot.

Ya I dont remember all their names; but we got a couple WRs that might get it and a TE.

Simmons sounded good awhile back but some peeps have been talking about swain. Either way I just want the best man for the job.

The LB/TE hybrid is Havner. Lansanah should make TC, they cut Tracy White last year too keep hold of him.

We have quite a jam at WR so I could see a player like JaRon Harris getting cut soon. Swain, Heckendorf and Simmons(my favourite UFA) all have a shot at the #5 job.

We have a lot of UFA on the OL, Hartline, Deitreicht-Smith and Randolph. One of those could go.

Also TE Frischnecht was the last guy in so could possibly be the first guy out if he has not impressed.

My dark horse cut would be someone like Tory Humphrey. I don't think we need 3 TEs, he doesn't have much upside, doesn't qualify for the practice squad and has suffered injuries.

I could see a CB and a WR getting cut. Other than that i'm not sure, maybe OL.

If you look at the CBs there is a pretty big log jam for what is likley the 6th spot

These guys here are locks IMO:
CB 21 Charles Woodson
CB 31 Al Harris
CB 38 Tramon Williams
CB 27 Will Blackmon
CB 22 Pat Lee

So you have these guys for 1 spot, 2 spots potentially if they decide to keep bush as a CB/S

CB/S 24 Jarrett Bush
CB 39 Trevor Ford
CB 40 Joe Porter
CB 33 Brandon Underwood

I'm rooting for JaRon Jarris, because he's a Sioux Falls, South Dakota guy (my hometown). That said, he and Simmons would probably be on my short list of candidates to get cut.
William Henderson didn't have to run people over. His preferred method was levitation.

A Couple of surprises could be in the mix...

Tony Moll jumps to the top of the list.

Joe Porter
Evan Dietrich-Smith or Hartline
The ever injured constantly Tory Humphrey

I also think they could lighten the load at LBer and try to find another body to compete along the Defensive line with the Jolly and Harrell question marks.

i think swain might get cut, maybe jake allen too, either way i dunno i dont really think swain will make it in this league, here at SDSU i didnt see anything that made me think otherwise so i was pretty surprised he was even picked, especially by my favorite team lol, hope he makes it though the state alum!

I've read some stuff that seems to suggest swain is the front runner in the class after the top 5, or to compete for that 5th spot. So i would be very surprised if he was cut.

Allen on the other hand i could see, or one of the other WRs there. Wasn't allen the guy who puked after he caught a TD in the last pre-season game? That was awesome.

Martha Careful (25-Jun) : I would have otherwise admirably served
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Also, no more provision for a write-in candidate, so Martha is off the table at least for this year
dfosterf (25-Jun) : You do have to interpret the boring fine print, but all stockholders all see he is on the ballot
