From PFT.COM:

The man who caught Brett Favre's record setting touchdown pass number 421 has a healthy attitude regarding the potential return of his former quarterback to the NFC North.

"I don't care," Greg Jennings said after a workout earlier this week.

While that may be a tough outlook for the rest of Wisconsin to adopt, it's worth questioning whether Jennings even truly feels that way. He sounds rather happy the annual Favre drama is behind him.

"Last year we had a lot of 'What ifs?' That if was kind of floating around above everybody's head. But this year there is no doubt about who's the guy.

"We're coming in solid, everybody knows what to expect from everyone else and there's no excuse. I've said that all of minicamps, the OTAs and everything. There is no excuse this year. . . . It's all on us."

Jennings appears to realize that Favre's likely decision to play for the Vikings will not determine Green Bay's fate. The Packers have enough young talent hitting their prime to win the division.

And no matter annoying Favre's summer waffling has become, how can football fans not be intrigued by the compelling storylines his return would create?

"I'm like, 'Let him go.' To each his own," Jennings said to Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "We're focused on what we're doing in Green Bay and if he shows up in that purple jersey then he's the enemy now.

Greg hit the nail on the head. Fans get way too worked up about this.

I wonder what he meant by those comments, so they using the Favre thing as an excuse for last year?

beside that the rest was pretty normal what do people expect him to say ? The Truth lol that would never come out.
Just Imagine this for the next 6-9 years. What a ride it will be 🙂 (PS, Zero should charge for this)

He's not saying anything about last year. It's just a motivational technique for this year.

if he shows up in that purple jersey then he's the enemy now.

This is precisely the type of mentality that I have and am surprised when other people seem to think it's a poor mentality to have as a Packers fan. It's nothing personal on Brett. It's the exact opposite of personal, as a matter of fact.

You missed the point completely...no more excuses about new QB's or new defense etc...the players need to perform. It's a great attitude that your team needs to have in order to be successful.

you notice how a few little words can be taken in different ways? To me it sounded like he was using Brett as an excuse last year, and Mass and 68 took it a different way.
This is the reason i asked.

Great job Jennings. Seriously who cares what Brett does anymore, I'm happy that he wasn't kept last year to because he didn't do much to impress me that much. Rodgers had a great season and I'm glad he got his first season wrapped up.

Time to take the division title back.
Glad To Be A Packers Fan.

What else could he have said? Is that really worth asking? "no comment", "hope he does", "wish he was our QB", etc ... he said "I don't care", personally, i love that. No one on the Packers should care, including Charles Woodson.

I'm sure he, like me, doesn't "hate" BF. But just like Jennings, if BF comes back in that ugly purple, i hope we have him throwing up air balls all over the place, and running for his life. (No, i do NOT mean i want him hurt, just soundly beaten on the field).

And to try to pretend like the BF circus had no effect on the Packer team last year would be wrong. How could it NOT affect them? But this season there are NO excuses not to perform.
I don't see BF as an "excuse" for last year. It DID have an effect, and thus was not an excuse, it was PART of the problem. An excuse implies it shouldn't have had any effect. Heck, it affected alot of fans, why wouldn't it affect the team where he played for all those years?
And Jennings is gonna SHINE this year!!!

As cheesy and others have said, it was if nothing else a constant distraction.

But it's a year removed, Jennings and Rodgers are on fire right now (according to another thread) so brett can go on and be an attention starved douche elsewhere, and the rest of us can sit back and watch AR, DD, GJ, and Jones post astronomical numbers this year!
