The Current Poll ...

Upon this posting... the Packers have the edge 20 to 5 or a 4 to 1 ratio over the Vikes...

So I have to ask.. looking at the roster position by position I think it is alot closer between the Packers and the Vikings... and personally I think it is a horse a piece on paper...

So help me out here.. give me some examples of why the Packers are that much superior on paper to the Vikings?

Or is it just the Green and Gold kool aid speaking more so than anything else?

LOLOLOL whoever picked the lions is my idol. Well this is a packer forum so there is going to be a great amount of bias opinions. But if you ask me i think it comes down to the qb and wr position. The quarter backs the vikings have now have not convinced me yet that they can get it done. Vikings have the defense and the running game to get it done. They are just lacking at the quarter back position which goes along with the receiving position. They don't have the passing game and leadership from their quarterbacks. They have good receiver in berrian but thats pretty much all.

Can't help you there, went Vikings in the poll. I'm sorry.

They just have a team that's ready to make the big push. If they get 'the one', they have just about all the pieces in plays, as much as I'd like to deny it.

Don't get me wrong, I think that the Packers have a very talented team, but we have a little more question marks. The D-line, RB, LB, S (With all these injuries, O-line. Not saying that they'll all be bad, but it's still out there on whether they'll succeed or not.

The Vikings have some issues as well, with QB currently being the biggest one. Half their O-line, FB (Way more important than given credit for imo) and the fact that their defense relies a lot on a big pass rush. Very mediocre safeties and just one great CB.

A point could be made for both, but I'm leaning to the Vikings at this point. They're the team to beat. Much like we where last year.

QB and Coach is the big advantage for the Packers. Beyond that though it's about the same.

I picked Vikings.

Not because of homerism, though. Because the Pack's horrible defense is being revamped, I think the learning curve will take much of the season. By then, the race should be pretty much over for the Packers.

What, no love for da bears?

I see it as a three way fest, and do not discount the Lions.
The Lions will be much improved this year.

No I don't mean that the Lions will win the NFCN, but they could very well be a spoiler for the other three.

That would make for an excellent signature-quote if the Vikings where to lose to us. Especially if they'd lose to us twice.

dfosterf (25-Jun) : Ed Policy yay or nay is on the pre-approved ballot that we always approve because we are uninformed and lazy, along with all the rest
dfosterf (25-Jun) : Weird question. Very esoteric. For stockholders. Also lengthy. Sorry. Offseason.
