Talk about trying to ride out the fame wagon a little too long...

Wait... where can I get a job where all I have to do is complain about everything.. I guess I could always sign up to be a Bears fan. ;)

Source of course...

Expect plenty of anti-tax, anti-big government talk when Joe the Plumber comes to Wausau on Thursday.

Samuel Joseph Wurzelbacher, otherwise known as Joe the Plumber, will speak at an event called Pints & Politics, at The Plaza Hotel & Suites. The event is sponsored by Americans for Prosperity, a national group dedicated to reducing the size and scope of government and advancing peoples right to economic freedom and opportunity.

Wurzelbacher became Joe the Plumber and a conservative pop/political cultural phenomenon in October after confronting then-presidential candidate Barack Obama on a Toledo, Ohio, campaign stop. Wurzelbacher told Obama that his tax plan would keep him from buying a plumbing business.

Joe the Plumber became the focus of presidential debates, and he took to the stump to support John McCain. Since the election, Wurzelbacher has maintained his conservative profile, traveling to Israel as a war correspondent, penning a book about his life (Joe the Plumber: Fighting for the American Dream) and speaking in opposition to higher taxes, bailouts and government spending.

The people of Wisconsin are a lot like me, Wurzelbacher said in a press release about his visit to Wausau. They realize that enough is enough and that its time for politicians to use some good common sense when making fiscal decisions.

Well, if you can, why not? I mean, people apparently like to hear him talk and I asume that he's making a nice profit out of it. He's still a great guy for conservatives.

Exactly what I was gonna say.

Thing is, I never knew the story behind Joe the Plumber until reading that article.. lol Now that I know, the whole 'Joe the Plumber' fiasco during the election makes a TON more sense.

Michael Savage is the only one I can stand nowadays. When I hear him talk, it actually sounds like he is thinking about more than talking points; It is about life, history, literature, and lots of stuff like that.

Good for Joe though...

Wow, I have exactly the opposite reaction to Savage: He strikes me as a rabid-mouthed kook, and I cringe to hear him talk. I think he does more damage than help to the cause of liberty in this country.

Then again, I consider myself a constitutionalist/libertarian, not a conservative.

It's soooo weird, because in actuality I am the complete opposite of Michael Savage... but I listen to him and I just completely relax and feel like I am sitting in a class that I actually like... Very very strange. I am a loud, annoying, metalhead, with my fair share of I guess "liberal" beliefs..., but man there are some nights where he just speaks such moving, inspiring pieces of poetry of thought that I just sit back and go "yeah... yeah!"

Those moments get lost a lot when goes on rants, but trust me, if you listen the right way... they are there.

Yeah.......PETA uses naked people to TRY to "convert" people.

It won't work on me though. I'll look at their posters, but it won't sway my beliefs any.
Heck.........if all it takes is "nekked" women to change the way you believe, you arn't very strong on your beliefs.
