With the Packers conducting there last mini-camp before they hit training camp I thought it prudent to look at this years keys to camp !
Offense:
1.Establish offensive line consistency : In my opinion this is the biggest issue we face. The musical chair approach needs to stop and MM must get his starting 5 ready no later the game 3 of the pre-season.I can't stress the importance of this enough.
2. A more potent and effective running game has to be found : If they have to respect the run then A-rod and Greg J will make them pay !
3. Work on the screen game: It keeps the defense off balance and is a very effective weapon we seem to have forgotten.
Defense :
1. Learn the base defense cold: Everyone has to know the base first, you have to crawl before you walk.They need to know this defense inside and out. React don't think.
2. Fix the communication breakdowns in the secondary: It's still been an issue in OTA's and it needs to be fixed once and for all.
3. Tackling: It needs to improve all the way across the board.... last years team took 3 steps back in this department.
The team as a whole must cut down on stupid penalties and bone headed mistakes. If they get all this cleaned up then there is no reason to think the 2009 Green Bay packers can't get the North crown.
