Anyone have a link to a video of this interview? I'd like to hear how he expressed himself. Words in print rarely give the whole story.

Havner comes from a great high school football program out here in the old goldmining region.

He started in the Pac 10 for 3 years (UCLA). He is a good football player but just not good enough.

He is running short on his practice squad eligibility. Being a TE will help his chances of being on the practice squad again this season.

I've always pulled for the guy but there is a lot of competition in the NFL for roster spots.

This may be a good move for the Packers and for Havner.

However much I like the guy, I think he will be a good CFL player next season.
