I am curious of peeps opinions on this one.....For those that do not know, he was a outstanding DE for Wisconsin and was drafted by Arizona in 2002 with the 12th overall pick in the 1st round. He played only a couple years and was plagued by alchoholism and the drug called Exctasy. He was cut and never picked up.

Supposedly he went through rehab and has been clean for more than a year now. He just recently had a workout for the Lions. I would love to see this guy given a chance in GB. It would have to be a incentive written contract and a last chance policy. He was extremely talented in college. Physically he is 6' 5" and 295 pounds.

He's a bit old now, but could probably be picked up on the cheap. He may be a great backup for a few years.

With the depth chart still a little thin at Dline.. it won't be the worst flier to take.. Thin out a WR in the process.. we have like 12 on the roster at the moment. šŸ™‚

Hmmmmmmmm.....I'd have to see how good he is. I certainly don't like the fact he was a druggy with extasy.

After all, he was the 12th overall pick.

Is this just a hought or did you hear about him recently?

I havent heard anything out of this guys for a couple years now, and with high character Veterans still out there like Vonnie Holliday and Kevin Carter who'd command around the same amount of money i'd think the front office would have 0 interest in signing him.

Cool thank you for the links, I was wondering because Wendell Bryant seemed to come right of the blue haha, he's definitely not a guy I would have thought about without this topic haha.

He worked out with the Lions last week hoping to get back in the league. I personally like the idea of giving him a shot. Only with a low base salary with incentives though. If he wants much more then that it is too risky. I just don't see him getting a better offer than that.

He is a lot younger (28 I think) than some of these vets your talking about. That could be good or bad. Being younger might mean he has more in the tank. But then again, with not playing the last couple years, he may not have it anymore.

Anyways, I hope they bring him in for a workout just to take a look.

In addition, profootballtalk.com is reporting he just had a workout with Buffalo as well.
