GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -- Green Bay's planning commission recommends tighter restrictions on houses near Lambeau Field that are rented for Packer parties on game day.
The commission voted Monday night to limit to two the number of times the house could be rented for less than 28 consecutive days. The proposed ordinance would also impose a 500-foot distance between such houses.
The recommendation could find landlords competing for permits because at least two of six houses on Shadow Lane are close together.
Alderman Chris Wery and others have complained the houses are essentially unsupervised hotels in an area designated for residential housing only.
The City Council considers the commission's recommendation May 19.
