Our newly signed LG Aaron Banks has only played handful of snaps at RG during his (I think) rookie year. Yeah, that means it's more than likely Elgton Jenkins is moving to Center.

Guessing the OL gonna be like this.

LT - Walker/Morgan
LG - Banks
C - grumble grumble Jenkins grumble grumble
RG - Rhyan/Morgan
RT - Tom

I still don't know if either Walker or Rhyan is the answer, but most teams (other than our division, have worse. I would like to think we are slightly above average.

NEVERTHELESS, we should try to add a stud tackle and we would be ELITE

Go Packers!!!!

I'll also point out that Banks was LG almost his entire college career too, and that Jenkins was a full-time Center for majority of his college career.

But based on last year, Jenkins has to get better with wet ball situations, but maybe he just needs to knock off some rust and then he'll have no issues with that.

Also, until Myers is signed elsewhere, we don't fully know that he won't be back. Though quite unlikely at this point, but if Myers doesn't like his market, he might sign a one year deal so something.

I'd also point out that Rhyan was Center #3 last year, behind Myers and Jenkins.

Walker is elite pass blocker, it's just that he doesn't give you much in the run blocking department.

Also, based on the Packers brass comments, I think they'll still have a discussion (not saying they'll pull the trigger, but simply discuss) the option of moving Tom to LT and the Walker/Morgan to RT, which really would be Zero's nightmare. (Hey, the subject is your OL nightmare, so I'm staying on subject! 😋)

Most of the time when Jenkins has played C the past few years it's been stuff hitting the fan situations. I think this is the crux of the matter: do you think Jenkins will do fine at C if given an offseason+TC to work on chemistry with Love? If so, you're alright with the move. If not, then you really don't like this.

We have this fun guessing game arrangement of the OL.

How many OL players do we draft?

I am guessing a C and an OT who can kick in.

We certainly are getting to the situation where we look to have some pretty solid back-ups which is nice after the OL fell apart in the Eagles playoff game after the injuries.

This would leave out Sean Rhyan.

RG - Morgan
RT - Tom

Also, Morgan has been pretty adamant about playing LT. Tough nugget kid!

Pro-Bowl Escalators
  • 1M for LT
  • 750K for OT
  • 250K if another position

  • Though I'm curious, if for LT, if he gets just $1 Million, or if he would get 1.75 million, as why does it say OT, instead of simply RT.
