Open letter to the Green Bay Packers Organization to the from Martha CarefulPlease don’t kid yourselves by the final score.
We got our ***** kicked today in every facet of the game.
Whenever they needed to, whenever they wanted to, they kicked our *****. Offensively they stuffed us until they were up over 2+ scores. Defensively we couldn't get a pass rush against a statistically very poor this protection team. We didn’t stop them until they got conservative. Then when they opened it up when we were within six, and they stomped us again. For the entire organization players, staff and management, please view:
So the organization needs to wake up and implement change unless we just want to merely beat cupcakes and have a 500 record. But,
nils satis nisi optimumNow with that covered, here are my suggestions from the top down:
Mr. Gutekunst when formulating a roster:
• It might be a good idea to make sure we have a kicker who can consistently hit from inside of 50 yards. Most other organizations have guys who can hit from 50 to 60, but I’ll settle for just inside 50 and making extra points consistently
• Can we try drafting players on the defensive side of the ball that it doesn't take 2 seconds to recognize what the offense is running so that we can react in a timely fashion. Having a roster with great shuttle times doesn't do any damn good if it takes too long to recognize the play. We fall in love with high RAS guys who have slow recognition, a net negative.
• Availability is the key ability and Jaire Alexander doesn't seem to be available very often. So let's stop looking at, and paying for, highlight reel plays and get guys who show up and do an above average job all the time.
• Please send a letter to the league office to tell their linesmen they may want to look at coaches after the play, especially in the last two minutes of the half, to see if they want to call a timeout.
Coach LaFleur
• Thank you for getting pissed off at the end of the first half, seriously. The more fire you show the more your team will show fire and emotion. At times our guys look absolutely uninterested in the game. They feed off your energy. Don’t be Ditka like, but let loose when you need to.
• I know Wicks had two touchdowns but he had a ton of drops. There needs to be accountability and unless we didn't have anybody else to put in, his ***** should have been on the bench.
• We were running the ball pretty damn well early, why did we stop? Yes I know we were down early, but scoring drives running the ball count just as much as passing.
• Could you please tell your quarterback to stop with the stupid ***** throwing with either foot, or both feet off the ground. I don't care what Favre or Rodgers did, the laws of physics dictate that throw without the land foot on the ground (much less the back foot) cannot be as accurate as planting your feet and throwing. I'm attaching a link for you and Mr. Love to read so that you might better understand. This has been well understood since David planted his land foot slinging the rock against Goliath but I guess we all need reminders.

Coach Hafley
• As you may be aware with our franchise history, we have gone through a string of unsuccessful defensive coordinators. I personally am beginning to wonder when you have 4 different chefs and largely the same groceries if it isn't the guy buying the groceries that's the problem, but that's another matter. Nevertheless:
• Our pass rush absolutely sucked! The only time we got pressure was on blitzes and against a pedestrian defensive line. Here are some ideas for you because I'm not seeing much creativity here despite what I heard about what you are going to implement in the off season:
1. Perhaps we could try a few more stunts T-go, E-go. And when we do, perhaps the tackle could learn to keep contain, which they obviously don't have the slightest clue how to do while doing a stunt as an immobile quarter was able to lumber, untouched around the end on numerous occasion.
2. Perhaps you could teach Gary and Van Ness and the rest of the edge guys some moves other than a bull rush. Here are some that come to mind:
- Speed rush
- Swim
- Push Pull
- One armed stab
One move isn't enough, no matter how good it is
I might need my walker to get around the practice facility but if you buy my flight, I would be happy to come up from Philadelphia and show your staff and players how to perform these things, because your guys either don’t know it or don’t know how to teach it.
3. A free bonus here is a stunt which you could have should have used against an immobile quarterback like Sam Darnold
