1st round hit or miss rate

This is kind of interesting.

Paul Hembo calculated the percentage of 1st-round picks that “hit” or “miss,” based upon whether that player signed a second contract with the team that drafted them. The data encompasses the 20 drafts spanning 2000-2019. Here are the positional hit rates:

Not completely, but it's almost in order of least sexiest positions to most sexiest

With Covid screwing up the salary cap for the last 4 years, I'm betting the numbers for misses between 2021-2025 the numbers will be greater just because teams could not afford to sign some of the players that outplayed their rookie contracts.
With The NFL Machine back up and running the numbers will go back to "The norm".
Just a thought .
