In a move that was seen as inevitable, GB released LT David Bakhtiari today. It was a real pleasure watching him grow from a scrawny 4th rounder thrown into the fire at LT into one of the best pass blockers in the NFL.

He indeed is a Packer's legend. They loaded so much money into this year that they would be able to keep him even if he played all 16 last year and had a PFF rating of 99.

David Bakhtiari intends to play in 2024, according to Ian Rappaport. I can envision scenarios where he returns to the Packers. This decision also greatly reduces the chances of him filing any kind of injury greivance in the next couple of weeks. (April 5th deadline) While his statement upon being cut was very encouraging on that front, if he did not intend to play next year, the risk of him filing would be higher. I see many teams that would potentially kick the tires on a David Bakhtiari this off season, and his value could skyrocket come training camp and beyond. We shall see.
