Why? The kicker didn't cost the Packers the game so I'm not sure why you're wanting to "pin" that comment. I assume you watched the game so you know this. But at most, that FG would have made it a tie game, or 49ers go for two.



I can't really feel bad for him. I don't think he deserves a plethora of vitriol slung his way either though. He sure as hell wasn't the reason we came up short. It's not his fault the Packers massively overachieved for the 2023 season and made the playoffs and also won a game. And then put the 1 seed on the ropes. Packers knew this was a growth season. This is part of growth.

That all being said. And I know Mason Crosby had rough early years. I'm just not sure this kid will improve. He seems to prefer the left hash, but yet still misses. Maybe he will have a great season for his next team? I don't know. But I do know the Packers need POSITIVE consistency in the kicking game. Anders Carlson in 2023 has shown a lack of positive consistency from Week 1 through playoffs.

I don't care if he is the last only kicker on earth, this team could go for two or go for the first down instead of the missed field goal every time and be better off.

Packers had a harder time replacing a kicker (Crosby), than a franchise QB (Rodgers).

We just got back home from the competition so I haven't really done much reading. By this post here, I might be glad about that. I had two guys behind me saying if the Packers make that FG, they win the game. I swear to god some people absolutely idiots or I'm the idiot who thinks a FG is only 3 points and that would have only tied the game, lol. I wanted to list off other things to them as possible reasons, but figured, hell with it. I'm here to watch and enjoy my daughter compete. Ignore the dumbasses. Let them enjoy the blissfulness of ignorance.

Because bottom line, we all choose how we want to be a fan of the team. (or not fan of the team)

And it's all good in the hood.
