Seriously? Can you explain how you think what Matt LaFleur has said over the last 10 days is justifying a poor defensive outing. Because if you listen to the questions being asked and his answer, that's far from what he's doing. Because I have and that's not at all what I'm hearing. I'm confident Joe Barry will NOT be the DC for Green Bay Packers in 2024. And that's based off what I'm hearing from the HC.

Edit, my apologies if that comes off like I'm attacking you. I'm not. I'm just genuinely curious to hear your explanation. Sorry. 😐

Weak DC and injuries to the defense are a problem. Mainly, the DC, in my opinion. As for the cushion, I'll mention this again (like broken record, haha) Jaire has said he prefers to play off and that the new DB coach is trying to get him to play closer. This tells me that it's not the DC as much as it's the players choosing to play off.

Jaire is in it for Jaire. You couldn't get more counter-productive in this place and time than that, right now, at least for the fleeting hopes of this team for this year.
He's a self-centered person. That gets dismissed, but please don't speak of GB as some sort of oasis from those that are not, especially in the context of a press that doesn't have the capacity to get beyond kissing these asses.
